Lots to see and do. Can be a busy park in the summer and weekends. Well maintained and plenty of nature.
I went horseback riding in this park...so beautiful, quiet, scenic, not many people....great horseback riding trails, not used by many pedestrians.
This massive park has everything a park should have; a myriad of walking trails, forests, fields, pond, and lots and lots of birds. It's a top bird watching area in greater Vancouver. Check out the hard to find "McLean Pond" for an adventure!
I am an avid walker and hiker and take my shoes with me everytime I leave in the car "just in case". One of my favorite walks close to home is Cambell Valley park. There are several parking lots around the park so it can be accessed from many directions. The park is large and has many walking trails. I often take the out skirts and walk on the horse paths and walk for several hours. The beuty is incredible. There is up and down rolling hills and different types of terrain from meadows, to bridges over marches etc. Lots of people can be found walking dogs or with binoculars watching the birds.
Well kept, good trails, and a great place to experience nature:-) All it needs is a few more garbage bins while walking the fur baby :-)
I have been coming here since I was a little kid...and the park has only grown on me as the years have passed. The long trails...the creek, the ponds, the wildlife and the peace and quiet...or the sounds of nature. This is a great place to go for walks, picnics, nature watching (or people watching). There are a couple of parking lots at different park entrances...and as with other reviews: don't leave valuables in the vehicle.
I've been going here for years! I used to run cross-country here about 15 years ago with my high school. To this day it's my favorite park to go for a weekend walk. And as many times as I've been there, I still find new trails, and even manage to get myself turned around (not quite lost, but also not found) from time to time. Such a peaceful oasis!Free parking at various entrances. As others have stated, don't leave valuables in car. Be respectful of horses if you're on one of their trails (remember they spook easily).
Long walks with the dogs. Ride your horse. Come to the Country Fair in September. Wildlife. This is a great place to walk in peace and unwind. Don't leave valuables in your car. This is still a place to be conscious of your surroundings. Safe place to walk though.
This park is large so you can do as much or as little hiking as you like. Really well maintained grounds are a joy to explore in all seasons. In nice weather bring a picnic : )
