bijoux falls provincial park

I been there for several times in the last 12 years , always during spring or summer. Great place to be and to feel. But the travel from Prince George to Dawson Creek, is always a must see. Great lanscapes and wildlife view and always the feeling that you must come back because everything needs another try. I intended to return next year just to draw and paint. Go there and tell me.

These falls are so close to the road. Just a turn off and a very short walk and you are there. They are spectacular. Remember to take your camera.Bijoux Falls are just amazing!

Beautiful setting, perfect place to stretch your legs and have a picnic. Waterfall is magnificient. Worth stopping along this stretch of highway.

This is a day use park that is right off the Cariboo Hwy 97 and is worth a stop. We visited in June after the area had experienced several days of rain and the falls were great - huge and roaring. The falls are sort of multi-tiered and when we visited, there was actually a small tree that was stuck in the middle of all the water.The park itself is just okay. There are pit toilets (outhouses) and a few picnic tables. There aren't any grassy areas. Parking is ample enough and there is some room for RVs if it's not too busy. There are no footpaths or hiking trails. Other than the falls, there aren't any attractions here.The park is about 25 miles north of the tiny settlement of Mcleod Lake.If you like big waterfalls, it is well worth stopping for a few minutes :-)
