This lake... is just amazing. There were a few large groups of people all enjoying the water and the sunshine. People sitting on the lakes edge, sun bathing on the rocks and enjoying a brewski. You'd need a local to take you here because there's a 95% chance that you'd drive straight by! 100% recommend visiting!!
Brohm Lake can get extremely busy due to it's proximity to Whistler, Squamish, & Vancouver, plus it's literally right beside the highway so everyone can see it. The access to the water is rocky, so the prime spots get occupied early and parking is at a premium. I rode my bike in from Alice Lake and took some of the trails that are hike or bike around Brohm Lake. The trails are not busy. I counted three pit toilets at Brohm Lake. The water appears to be somewhat colder and cleaner than Alice Lake (7 km south). Be prepared for off-leash dogs, rampant underage drinking, inappropriate language for children, and a "party" kind of atmosphere - tolerable for a 30 minute swim. Then get out & go for a hike/bike on the trail network.
This lake is a little hiden paradise I should not tell you! Easy to find on hyw 99. North of squamish
Nice spot! Brohm lake is a nice spot to stop for a dip in the summer the dark bottom of the lake make the water warm quite early in the summer make sure you pack out your trashes with you.
The Bouldering and bouldering hike areas are fantastic in this small road side park but the lake is, during peak season, tedious unless you are twenty-something and value sitting out in the sun and low-brow beer labels over pretty much everything else life has to offer. The lakeside behavior leaves me wondering what happened to Park Rangers and also, why the heck can't you take your Pub behavior to a pub?
This lake is lovely to swim it, beautiful cool refreshing and clean water, I would recommend you go on a week day as the weekends are very busy and over run with dogs and their inconsiderate owners and partying teenagers , you may also get this in the weekdays especially if it is hot out. Beware , the parking is horrible with only about 20 spots so people park up and down the highway and walk along the highway to the lake, Thus can be very dangerous as the cars come screaming down the hill at top speed. The shore of this lake is rocky and uncomfortable to sit by and often garbage is left behind. It is unfortunate but I feel this lake has literally gone to the dogs. If you don't like dripping mutts running over you picnic or boozing teenagers than stay away. Go early for a quick dip and enjoy this peaceful refreshing lake then get the heck out.
We hiked up from the Paradise Valley Campground. It was a steep hike, and the rope swing at the end made it well worth the effort!
this is one of my favorite lake to hit after hiking on the way home not too deep and warm. there are is also a hiking trail.... the only down fall is there is very limited parking.
This is a lovely lake just north of Squamish. It has been a favorite running and dog walking place for years. The lake is refreshing and beautiful.
Been going there for years. Not a lot of places to set up camp, so get there early. Bring lots of your fave things and enjoy.
