My husband and I, in our 40`s and 50`s, had an Aerial Kiteboarding groupon lesson with 2 other guys and we loved it. Glen was a great instructor, so much to learn and listen to, especially helpful having others on the lesson so you can sit in the boat and watch each other whilst listening to the instructions. Can`t wait to do it again.

So, let me begin by saying Aerial was not my first kiteboarding lesson provider. A week prior to going out on Aerial's beginner 'crash course' lesson I went out with VKS (Vancouver Kiteboarding School). I spent three hours with VKS and struggled but did eventually get up and rode around. Then I came with a friend to Aerial and after a few quick pointers from Dan (the man) I was riding with ease. His instructions were top notch and the guy knows his stuff. He gives quick, easy to understand tips that really impact your understanding of the kite, board and dynamics at play. I couldn't believe how much easier it was to ride with his help and it got me absolutely hooked on the sport!I ended up booking another lesson at a good deal he offered after the first course. I showed up on Sunday but unfortunately the wind didn't. We began the lesson by gearing up and setting up the kite with the anticipation the wind would soon pick up. We then talked kite safety, self rescue and relaunching and after an hour the wind still hadn't showed up. No problems though, Dan and Melanie rescheduled us for next time and didn't even take the hour or so we spent on the beach off my next lesson (a classy move if you ask me). I'll be coming back to Aerial for all my lessons, gear and questions. They are a relaxed, easy-going bunch but have the knowledge and skills to get you up, riding and enjoying the rad sport that is kiteboarding safely. I'd recommend these guys to anyone!

I booked a 3-hour intro lesson through Group-on in 2013 but due to scheduling conflicts and bad weather (no-wind) I had to keep rescheduling until very late into the season. Melanie at AK offered to extend the voucher into 2014 which worked out great. I was out there just last Sunday and what a great day it was. Dan is very passionate about kiteboarding and was great at sharing his knowledge. I felt that even within the group session I got very good instructions and was able to a good sense for the sport. I can't wait to go back for individual lessons as soon as possible.

I had the opportunity to learn kiteboarding with Dan in Texas. Although we were not in an official lesson, he went out of his way to help myself (and anyone else) who was struggling to achieve their core skills. Beyond great instruction is Dan's enthusiasm for kiteboarding and drive to further his own skills. If he wasn't on the water he had a kite in his hands practicing in the sand or giving instruction. This is certainly someone I would recommend to a friend looking to start from scratch and I personally would go to for further instruction.

Duncan JacksonHi there,I did a destination experience with Dan and Zac at Aerial kiteboarding. I was a complete kite board "novice" and Dan and Zac's relaxed and excellent instructional technique enabled me to progress to riding upwind and gaining my IKO level 2 in the time I had avaliable. Dan could not help me enough and really cares about the sport and helping people get into the sport. He gave as much advice as I wanted and was very relaxed with his time and costings which mean't I was able to practise between using instructional times. Also Dan is a senior IKO instructor, with his methoical and way of reducing complex information for learning you can be assured you will be progressing faster than with other instructors. Also with the radio communiation to provide you with tips when you are out on the water you avoid the shouting and signs that can be confusing sometimes. I highly recommend them both and even if you are not from near Aerial's base in Squamish get in touch and see if there is anything Dan and his team can help you with. I live in the UK and met the team purely by chance. I don't normally write reviews but have been so impressed I would like people to know my feelings. Thank you Dan Zac and Mel

We have been clients of Daniel and his crew for over a year. Friendly and knowledgeable. They have all the equipment for kiters from beginners to expert. Lots of fun and a great way to learn a great sport.

Met up with the owner at Aerial and discovered I had paid him regular rate only to be shoved in a boat with 3 other random kiters. Not cool.If youre going to Group On, at least tell me so I could have went with another school. Wish I knew their were 2 other kite schools right next door before I paid him.

I'm a 14 year old kid from Alaska who had never kite boarded in my life and just wanted to try it out. I went for one lesson and ended up doing 4 days worth of lessons. Dan (owner and my instructor) was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He was more excited about me doing kiteboarding than I was. His enthusiasm was infectious. By the end i was up and riding back and forth surrounded by the tree covered mountains of squamish. All the equipment was well cared for and top of the line. I never felt uncomfortable or that i was in a dangerous situation. Its definitely well worth the money. DONT MISS OUT ON THIS GREAT EXPERIENCE! I look forward to next summer when i can try this exhilarating sport again. I even bought my own set of kites.

With the scenery... surrounded by the mountains, looking towards The Cheif, watching a bunch of incredible people kiteboarding in the gorgeous Howe Sound! It's absolutely beautiful!
