Still needed to pick up some souvenirs for the wife and kids so I decided to stop by the Spirit galleryAbsolutely filled with beautiful pieces of native art there was quite a variety of things for saleI finally settled on a Canvas drawing for my daughter and a beautiful silk scarf for my wifeThe staff were friendly and helpful and some of the artwork and sculptures were just spectacular worth a visit even just to look
We just stopped in while watching the ferries arrive and chatted with the staff for a while about things. They were quite outgoing and warm and the art is excellent, although we didn't buy anything because we were going to be on an airplane. Recommend you stop.
If you are waiting for the ferry, or just a day it in Horseshoe Bay, I recommend that you go into this shop.Yes, there are other shops, selling what can only be described as tat, but the Spirit Gallery doesn't sell tat. It sells First Nation items and you will be over whelmed by what's on offer.I cannot go past this shop, especially when buying gifts for friends. I bought 2 fabulous brooches as birthday presents and the recipients loved them, as they are Aboriginal & unique .I wanted a Raven Walking stick, but, I was too short to get the one I wanted, lol.I bought my grandson a fabulous children's book , it cost $10 but I did see it a few days later at Prospect Point at $12! I do feel I could spend lots in this shop. And the wonderful thing is, their price range is from $~$$$$.Something for everyone Staff are friendly, polite, and helpful.
While you are waiting to catch a ferry at Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver, take the time to visit the Spirit Gallery along the waterfront. They have a lovely selection of First Nation's art in a wide range of prices. Their service is outstanding. I bought an expensive vase there for my daughter that was damaged as I took it home. They replaced it without question. I can't say enough about the quality of their merchandise and their service.
We really appreciated being able to view some of the art galleries in such a small community. I'm always amazed at such talent these remote areas have to offer. There is something for everyone. Keep up the good work. Your establishment is lovely.
