Great place to take a stroll along the shore taking in the view of Vancouver, Lion's Gate Bridge. Take a seat when we get tired. Very easy walk. Parking can be difficult in the weekends. Come here everytime i am in town.
A delightful walk from La Crema at 14th to the Cap River and back. And if you like dogs, there is every size and breed imaginable in the special doggie park area. Dog owners come from far and wide to socialize their dogs, and non-dog owners can enjoy them vicariously. 45 minute round trip, with Burrard Inlet and container ships and boats of all sizes in the ocean. Where else but Vancouver.
During the day, this is a great place to come with a bag lunch and enjoy the sunshine and surf lapping at your feet. In the summer, there is a concession stand that has fries and burger fare, and behind it are restrooms. This is a busy place, like all Vancouver beaches, but still large enough that you can find a quiet spot to enjoy the place.Lawns behind the beach are great for Frisbee or kicking around a ball. Going there at night is a mixed bag, as there is a North Vancouver gang that has laid claim to the area at night. Luckily the West Van Police Station literally sits at the entrance of the park. Still, my thinking is: avoid at night, but use during the day - unless you're adventurous and streetwise...
Views, People, Beaches, Dog Park, etc are all awesome!Be aware that parking can be difficult and the dog park may not be an attraction for everone
this is such a great beach! for all ages! sandy beach, logs to perch on, great fish and chips at canteen, go early and stay all day.
This park has it all, beach area, sports facilities, natural pond area, trails and an off leash area. And that is to say nothing of the amazing views. I was even able to find 3 "lifer" birds in this park. Other birdwatchers that I came across agreed that it is the most underappreciated birding spot in North Vancouver. I was impressed that the dog walkers tended to follow the huidelines for Off-leash and never found this an issue. One could complain that it is too busy, especially on the weekend, but, then it is right in the heart of North Vancouver. I look forward to visiting this spot again
Walking Swimming Viewing Dog Romps Volley Ball on the Beach Basketball Field Hockey Soccer Feeding Ducks A great walk........ feels like going back to the 50'sSomething for everyone to dayIn the Sunshine In the Rain In the StormsLovely
Ambleside Park is the perfect park to take your canine friend, there is a great beach for your pup to swim in and a dog park for them to romp in. There is a human only beach right next to it, with a skateboard park and a snack shack. keep going on the path and you have a wonderful ocean side walk to enjoy.
This beautiful seaside park is bursting with too many people, too many dogs, too much noise, too little parking. That may be a weekend issue; I was there on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon. There is a concession stand and washrooms; very convenient.
Beautifully done by the West Vancouver city.Either to walk or bike there or picnic with your family everyone will find something to do.Unfortunately the sea walk ends where more private houses
This is a FANTASTIC 18 hole par 3 course - it isn't on a lot of maps, but is well worth visiting. The rates are very reasonable, we rented clubs, bought balls, and played 18. The course is in absolutely perfect condition, you can tell that the staff are proud of this facility...If you are in the area - this is well worth going to!
Great photo ops along the shoreline. Also a great place for walking/strolling. The park hosts periodic events and activities on weekends.
Beautiful park and super beach in west Vancouver ! You can see the lions gate bridge! Perfect place to relax and for taking pictures!!!! Beautiful sunsets!!!
dogs are restricted to certain areas which I cannot understand. If they are on the leash then what is the problem? Not sure who makes up these rules.
You are able to see the bridge clearly from this beach. A very quiet beach. Not much sand, but more of rocks with mussels.
