It is simply a great place for a walk. Nice views. Great way to spend a nice time jogging there. Well worth to visit. A lot of places to seat and a some great photo opportunities.
Very safe for late night jogging; it seems there's always someone walking on the seawall, even in the early hours of the morning.During a sunny day, the views of the ocean and boat traffic is splendid indeed. End the trip in Dundarave and have a glass of wine in the Beach House restaurant.Lots of people during the day though.
When it's time to go for a walk we love to go to the Ambleside seawall and walk along the coast. We park in the public free parking at 25th St at Bellevue Ave and walk past the Beach House to the start / finish of the seawall walk. Its a paved pathway with a couple of transition spots but typically 10' wide and easy flat walking. We usually go all the way to where the Capilano Pacific trail intersects with the Spirit Trail (back of the Park Royal mall) and turn around. This round trip walk is about 8K and takes 1.5 hrs. Along the trail you get a beautiful view of English Bay, Stanley Park and the Lion's Gate Bridge, bring your camera. Close to the Park Royal Mall is a free run dog park and its fun to watch all the dogs running around and playing fetch on the beach. If you get a chance put on your walking shoes and enjoy! If you are not a walker you can park close to the dog park and just watch the fun and if you go at the end of the day its a great place to watch a sunset!
We love strolling along the seawalk taking in the views of busy Vancouver, with family or just discussing business strategies.
Beautiful seawall, the views are spectacular.....but....do not expect to be able to ride a bike, roller blade or have your four legged friend beside you. This is a "walk" only seawall....dogs need to be behind a fence which runs along the seawall, which is tough for a pet to learn in one day. Save your walk for Stanley Park sea wall....the best ever! Everyone is welcome there.
How much variety there is, every time you go around the Seawall. The fresh air, the invigorating smell of the sea and the trees, the feeling of wind on your face...the friendly people you meet, and the possibility of seeing otters, and all kinds of birds, the inspiring vistas...
Great view, nice to be right at the sea. Many 'Bring Money' shops along the way. Great beach access and some government warfs where you can try to catch fish or crabs. Some nice picnic spots as well.
This is a delightful walk right along by the seaside. It is possible to see seals popping up, eagles soaring overhead and frustrated fishermen out on the water. In the summer it is delightful to see the cruise ships sailing bye on their trips north. At either end of the seawall one can always stroll up to either Dundarave or Ambleside for a coffee or just a pleasant stroll by the many small shops. This has to be one of the more pleasant morning or afternoon strolls in the city. No bikes on this seawall, and pets have their own lane to stroll along parallel to the pedestrian lane.
Great place to walk your dog, people watch and taken in the beautiful views across the bay. Pop over a street to the north and enjoy shops, cafes and other or check out the brach vendors.
You can walk all the way from Lions gate Bridge to 27th Ave. in West Vancouver. There are lots of benches and stunning views.
It is a nice view but tends to get very congested on nice days after breakfast after lunch and AFTER DINNER
This is a lovely walk along the sea in West Vancouver. It's a great place to have an easy stroll. At either end you can find nice coffees shops, restaurants, and shops. It's a nice place to meet friends for a walk and a coffee.
The Seawall in West Vancouver is a beauty! Walk from the Pier at Dundarave to The Village at Park Royal or to the mouth of the Capilano River! A "doggy Path" separated by a link fenceallows 'mans best friend' to accompany you for a good portion of the stroll!
Plan few hours for this excellent walkway along ocean. It is fantastic on a sunny day. Lots of people running, walking, sitting on the benches enjoying a view
The West Vancouver Seawall is just too beautiful to miss. Sunshine or rain, make time to stroll along the Pacific Ocean, watch the ships sailing into Vancouver Harbour and try to get the locals to smile back or say, "Hello" to you.
