We went to Whistler for sight seeing, and the walks around the lake in winter were loverly, however the is not much wildlife to see at this time of the year as you would expect.
Beautiful area in all seasons. Great for hiking and mountain biking during the spring and summer. Dog friendly during spring, summer and fall. Xc skiing and snowshoeing during the winter for all levels if the snow cooperates. I wish dogs were allowed during the winter, but you can xc ski at Meadowpark and green lake with your dog.
If you like a walk or some great beginner bike or in winter XC trails look no further and you can walk from the village!!
Went there with my wife. Great nature. We love it big time.Easy access for family too. Great things to do there too.The nature is amazing. Will go there again asap.
Located a few kilometres from Blackcomb, getting there is along a range of forest trails. Lovely run first thing in the morning
Lost Lake is another must-do while in Whistler. From Whistler Village, take the walking trails to get to Lost Lake. We went in late February/early March, so the lake was frozen. It was awesome to look at and the hike to and from was excellent! You get to see the Fairmont golf course, amazing mountain views and nature in general. Be sure to check out my IrixGuy YouTube channel to see videos that I filmed while at Lost Lake.
It is fun to be in Whistler and to go for a long hike in the morning. The natural path along the lake is beautiful. Icy Valley trail, but the natural trails are nice.
If the weather cooperates the Lost Lake XCountry ski trails are a welcome addition the the Whistler Ski Resort.Unfortunately it's probably only a 50% chance that the skiing will be good.
We actually had lunch here on Christmas Day! Absolutely freezing but absolutely breathtaking. The walk in through the forrest to get there was brilliant too.
Lost Lake is a treasure in both winter and summer. There is a network of trails for cross country skiing in winter and for mountain biking and hiking in summer. The lake is clean and a great place to swim in the summer.
Lost Lakes features some of the best beginners and intermediate bike trails of Whistler, which makes it very popular. It's a good place to hang out in hot summer nights and steamy afternoons, although it gets busy because it's so easily accessible. Overall a great welcome oasis of freshness and nature 10 minutes away from the main village.
Everyone that visits Whistler should go for a walk to Lost Lake. Nice quiet walk and an amazing lake.
Friendly staff and reasonable rates of rental. The locale and the park are awesome. They are also great during any season you plan to visit as there is a beautiful scenery and a great cafe to enjoy with friends
Lost Lake is in the Upper Village just across from the Four Seasons and Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotels. It feels tucked away down quiet snowy paths, but has a lively cafe and full rental shop for cross-country and snow-shoeing. Snow-shoe rental is $20 for the day plus $10 entry fee to Lost Lake Park. Cheaper than skiing on Whistler mountain so if you're unable to ski or you simply don't indulge, but enjoy the fresh Alpine air, then this is the perfect scenic exercise. 2 hours will get you round Lost Lake and pack a thermos flask, water and a snack bar and camera. Take your dog with you so you can share the experience! You won't be lost for long
We had an amazing experience, our instructor Erik was very patient and encouraging. The equipment rental process was great. Snow condition were good. The easy trail around Lost Lake was perfect for beginners with a lot of other trails available for more experienced skiers. 2 thumbs up!
