deer lake gallery

The Burnaby Arts Council's Deer Lake Gallery is located in a small house between the Burnaby Village Museum and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on Deer Lake Drive. The setting is absolutely beautiful and sweetly peaceful, overlooking Deer Lake Park. The living/dining room serves as a nice 750 square foot exhibition space that is open to the public Tuesdays-Fridays from 12:00-4:00pm, and occasional Saturdays. While there is no fee, a donation is requested. Wheelchair access is available.We happened upon the Deer Lake Gallery when we stopped by the Burnaby Village Museum, discovered it was closed, and decided to walk to the Burnaby Art Gallery. It was a nice little surprise.The current exhibition was the abstract work of three local artists. It was good, though not really our cup of tea.
