Granville island 很棒,但是千万不要因为这个就买水果,那里华人卖的水果好贵的,可以去附近喝喝啤酒,看看鸽子

Everyone knows that this is one of the top attractions in Vancouver. In actual fact, it turns out to be infinitely more than what you've read and heard because it's situated on Granville Island, a thriving community in and of itself. You should allocate an entire day to visiting the island if you like this sort of thing because, in addition to food vendors at the public market, there are also galleries and performance venues right there on the island. You could go in the morning and assemble a breakfast of freshly baked pastries and coffee from one (or several) of the vendors. Then walk around sampling all morning and assemble your lunch: perhaps a slice of tourtiere with a side of greens and a glass of white wine or some peppercorn pate on a slice of freshly baked bread of your choice. Eat it indoors or out with a view of Vancouver's skyscrapers across the way along False Creek, listening to live music in the market's public performance spaces while kids gambol around and seagulls wheel overhead. Then go and pick up tickets to something happening in one of the island's performance venues that evening. Spend your afternoon blissing out in galleries and checking out vendors of unique crafts. You could also just walk along paths on the island; the views are fabulous.End with a leisurely dinner at one of the restaurants adjacent to the public market (The Keg is a personal favorite). Then go to your event. Take the water taxi back to town afterwards which is perfectly safe, no matter how late it gets; this is Vancouver after all.On a mild sunny day and moonlit evening, nothing could be closer to an ideal day for me.

I am originally from British Columbia and lived in Vancouver for over 12 years before moving to NYC for work. I actually lived in Kitsilano and was about a 20 minute walk from the market. I would go once in a while to shop or eat lunch. I moved away around 8 years ago and have not been since I lived nearby. This trip to Granville Island was during a visit my husband and I made to Vancouver to see my family. My husband is a chef and this was a wonderland to him! It is even better then I remember…but seeing it through the eyes of a chef and being a bigger foodie then I was 10 years ago it was a new take overall. First of all it is a beautiful market! Fresh, colorful veggies and fruit all neatly stacked with a few odd items we just had to try. Butchers with local meats and pretty much everything you can imagine. Fish and seafood fresh and cleaned for you while you wait. Cheese shops that we could not resist! Bakeries - coffee - tea - fresh pasta - exotic condiments - candy - flowers! And of course many places to grab lunch. My husband wandered around for a couple hours and we bought meat and cheese for a charcuterie board at a friends house. We only bought local cured meats and cheeses from all over Canada. Have you ever had 10 year old cheddar? It is really really good! The next day we went back so he could shop for a big meal and he still could not decide - too many choices is not a bad problem to have. If you are into cooking and food then this is a must see! I recommend avoiding the weekends as it is very busy and earlier in the day is better too as it is a bit quieter.

It had been a few years since I'd been to Granville Island but I wasn't disappointed on this trip. The variety of baked goods, fresh fruit and seafood made me wish I lived nearby so I could take it all home.Granville Island Soap company had some lovely green tea soap that I just couldn't leave the store without. Lots of talented artists Fun to people watch while enjoying a coffee.

There is a wide range of fresh produce, food stalls and craft/gift stalls. However one of our party did have tummy upset later but wont blame it on food. Lots of other interesting shops outside market under Granville bridge to check out tgoo.

Go to Granville Island for an entertaining inexpensive day. The food market is extraordinary in variety, presentation and is affordable. Apart from stalls to buy foodstuffs, there are kiosks of a variety prepared foods for a snack or lunch, all at reasonable prices. Surrounding this market are numerous small niche shops that feature clothes, jewelry and curios from a variety of cultures. Street performers are in abundance on good weather days. Parking is a problem so come early. We had a wonderful time last week and plan to do this again.

Its like Pike Street Market in Seattle but larger! Filled with amazing food and few crafts! And the whole island is many other shops to go into.

Very large market place with a large variety of items for sale and numerous places to enjoy a bite to eat. Wide range of seafood and veggies to jams, jellies and teas. There is also some great views while eating outside listening to live performers.

I grew up in Canada and one of my favourite places to visit was always Granville Island Markets. On a recent trip back from my home in Australia it was again a highlight of my trip. Take a water taxi from one of the many stops around Vancouver for only $5 as this is the best way to see the beautiful scenery around Vancouver's waters for a very cheap place. I have visited markets all over the world and developed many here in Australia but I believe Granville Island are the best in the world. The set up embraces you from the moment you walk in to the beautiful buildings. There is a warmth that is hard to describe but it makes you want to stay for as long as you can. The food is nothing short of incredible. Quality local produce from world famous Canadian salmon and bagels to coffee, wines, chocolate and produce from around the world. There are many unique shops selling everything from quality jewellery to crafts and furniture. There are an abundance of cafes, restaurants and bars, live music, buskers in amongst all the arts studios and boutique theatres. Honestly one of my fav places to visit of anywhere I have been around the world. Don't forget to make sure you see Granville Island if you are in Vancouver.

This is a market really worth visiting - especially if your accommodation necessitates some home cooking. Huge selection of local produce - we enjoyed a very tasty lunch from one of the many vendors. Many options for purchasing authentic local souvenirs. Interesting in local art - go there!

Granville Island is always a great experience. Perfect for a date, a family outing, meet a friend. The market has such a large variety of food vendors, produce, meat, fish, flowers you name it. Similar to Pike's Market in Seattle but different of course but has a great attmosphere. There is a big market just for kids and a large playround. There is a wonderful trail that goes along False Creek for quite a long walk. You can take the sea bus from the Vancouver downtown over to Granville Island to make it an even more memorable event. There are some excellent restaurants on the island and 2 or 3 venues for live theater and improv and pubs as well. You can truly make an entire day out on the island from breakfast until evening and never run out of anything to do.

We ventured over to Granville Island to see what it was all about. It was a little rainy so we popped into the market and boy oh boy am I glad we did. It is beautiful and a foodies dream. We walked around planning a meal to cook back at our hotel. We got fresh pasta, homemade sauce, donuts, fresh bread, and the best part was the dessert selections. A must stop when visiting Vancouver whether it be for a whole meal or just dessert.
