This is a coastal sand-dune park and a great spot for a walk, to watch the ships coming in to the Fraser River or the fishing boats returning to Steveston. It's also an excellent place to fly a kite as there is usually some good wind off the ocean. It's a rustic park, you can play in the sand (you can't swim here though) or walk your dog (on-leash). A very nice community park.
The vessel traffic on the river. The kites flying in the centre of the park. The children playing in the sand. The birds.People.The water creatures. The fishers casting from the shore.Dogs playing on the grassy knoll. And have Fish and Chips.
This is a beautiful little park, located at the mouth go the Fraser River. Located in Steveston, Richmond. Stop to have fish & chips from the take out in the park, called Pajos. Bring a jacket, hat & gloves. It's always cooler by the ocean. Don't forget your camera! The scenery is beautiful.
This park is nice and you will take some good photos if the weather helps. You can choose walking, biking or just stay at some point appreciating the view.
Very clear defined paths for people to stroll. Every so often, you can see tug boats pulling the loads, fishing boats coming and leaving the harbour. People with kids and dogs playing on the beach. A great place to fly a kite.
Nice dirt trail, flat easy to walk, beautiful views of Vancouver Island and the mountains behind Vancouver to the north. Lousy beach, no sand really. The city erected 10 large cement poles just offshore to obstruct and ruin the previous great views. These poles should be removed and the parks people who decided to put them in should be jailed as the vandals and polluters that they really are.
It's a old Sand dun site, which they turned into a Park. A lovely area to walk around, looking out onto the Ocean and South end of the Fraser River. There's lots of Fishing boat in the area. You can have a Picnic up there and there is also Food both there.
Beautiful and natural park full of people, pets, kite-flyers, picnickers, and even parachutes! You can watch the huge car carriers slowly make their way up the Fraser River towards No 6 road, grab a bite to eat at Pajo's, and then head North up the dike for a quiet stroll. A multitude of birds, "swamp cows" (Belted Galoways) at Steveston Stock and Seed, a beaver near the apartments, more ducklings than you can count in the spring in the canal along the dike, and miles of uninterrupted views towards Vancouver Island. Peaceful, quiet, natural and unspoilt.
Garry Point Park is a great place for a walk and ocean views. Perfect on a sunny day. Easily accessible from down town Steveston and has a large parking lot if you're driving.
dislike when it gets busy, but it's a great place to fly a kite or walk around the japanese rock garden. the beach is a good place to read a book, again when it's quiet
Great walk from the trails and boardwalk a small beach ..Great area for families and Steveston village has great shops and restaurants and Steveston village
So many Beautiful views of the South Fraser River, North Shore Mountains & more. Great path for walking, running, biking. Great area for picnics and kite flying.
This place is a great park!! It is really flat and when there is wind it's great for kite riding.I recommend this place
Pretty much a walking park with some view by the port area. Lots of people running and walking through. Fishing boats passing by. Shoreline needed some TLC.
A lovely family setting on the mouth of the Fraser River and the Ocean. Views of the north shore mountains and the Pacific Ocean make for a wonderful walk around this park. Weekends provide many people picnicking and flying kites. Fun for all.
