powell river historical museum & archives

This is not an overly large museum, but what it lacks in size is huge on displays and information, especially of local forestry history. Admission is by donation. staff love to share interesting history tidbits. Well worth the stop.

What a rich source of enjoyment when discovering the pioneers of Powell River and all the historical information to look up family and friends. Outstanding and helpful staff.

My wife and In recently visited this museum and found a delightful collection of antique objects. We had a very nice and informed conversation with the curator. Well worth the time to visit. Surprising how much is packed into this museum but it doesn't feel cluttered, just very well presented.

We have lived in Powell River for 6 years but this was our 1st visit to the museum. We went because my brother and our niece were over from Scotland staying with us. Now we are going to include the museum on our guest tour itinerary! It's very interesting and a definate "must see"

The tour was fantastic, very well done the women working was eager to share stories about the past and the artifacts were all kept well and looked great. It was a nice day to spend a rainy afternoon.
