This park is a beautiful park that has wooded areas and you even think you are no longer in a big city. The paths wind back and forth so getting lost can happen and therefore a compass or GPS is handy to have. There are off leash parts of the park if you are taking your dog. The bike path is mostly good but does have some tricky holes and if there are a lot of people walking it can be difficult to maintain a faster speed. Overall though you can go for hours and a great distance. There are port-a-potties but no place to get water or food so snacks and fluids are a good idea.

FC Park is just a great place for families, biking, hiking, wildlife encounters and getting out. That is it nestled in the middle of south Calgary makes it all the more unique.

This is a a beautiful park which straddles the Fish Creek which drains into the Bow river. Has an excellent paved walking and cycling path. Has many facilities along is almost 20 km length. See more information at : http://bit.ly/1LfOCXk

Lots of great paths for walking & biking. One criticism is that there aren't enough garbage cans along the paths.

The deep wooded area, full of wild life and in the middle of a city of a million people. Couldn't be a more beautiful walk, bird watching and wild life of all kinds..or dog loves it there and when you want out of the city, this is the place to visit or picnic. They have outdoor fire pits to cook your hot dogs a must place to visit

Many trails for biking, walking, hiking. Lots to see and if you are lucky you'll spot a deer or maybe a cougar. If you take a picnic you can enjoy lunch at a picnic table by the river, just make sure you take your litter with you and keep it natural.

This is my family's favorite place to go for a quick getaway in nature. Lots of deer, birds, and other woodland/grassland creatures. The visitors centre has some great displays and if it's a hot day, Annie's is the perfect place to stop for an ice cream and a rest.

Been there many times, alone and with the family. So beautiful. And, what a place to teach the kids about the beauties of nature!

I frequently walk my dogs here in the summer and always enjoy it. It had a great layout and there is the option to take longer or shorter routes. It is always very clean and well preserved. The recent flood did do substantial damage to the park and has changed the river bed drastically. However it is still walkable and my dogs can still hop in the river for a swim.

We visited three parts of Fish Creek Park in December to bird watch. The boat launch at the end of Bow Bottom Trail, Bebo Grove and Volter's Flats. I definitely want to check out all three places again in the summer. At every stop we saw people walking and cycling.

I have been going to Fish Creek Park forever, at least 20 years. The best thing about this locale is that it never changes, and you know what to expect. The pathways are serene, even when you encounter other park-goers. Sikome Lake beach is a hot spot for locals; swimming, playing Frisbee/Volleyball, or just soaking up some summer sun! The park is huge and lush with native vegetation, a perfect place to visit in any season.

What's not to love about fish creek park... Bike and walking paths connect the south to downtown calgary, bow river with all the birds and wildlife, great fly fishing. We live close to fish creek park so our daily walks consist of choosing what area of the park we want to see that day. Great to see the eagles, owls and deer as we stroll the many pathways. I love that Calgary has incorporated all the parks into the many communities that surround them.

Fish Creek Park is great. We are lucky that we live close by and get to go there often for walks and sometimes a slow scenic bike ride to Sikome Lake and the Bow River. Certain times of the day like early in the morning or twilight you get to see white tailed deer and all kinds of birds. I've also seen a beever a porkupine and a few cayotes, and once I saw a lynx for a couple of seconds until it saw me. We like to go to the mountains to go out walking with our dog in the deep woods but its just as nice here and the best part is that its free and its close to home so we get to sleep in our own bed and its usually quite sunny in Calgary year round and Fish Creek has wonderful scenery, nice smells and when the sun shines through the trees its magnificant. Personally I like it better in the winter as its quieter and you don't have to avoid getting run over by the speeding cyclists. There are many spots to park and each area presents its own attractions. I have been frequenting fish creek park many many times every year over the 33 years I have lived in Calgary and I never get sick of going down to Fish Creek Park. Its good for family, romantic walks, picnics, running, bike riding, long walks, loosing yourself in the wilderness for a deep think about life, bird watching, dog walking (with a leash) its great.

Some of the grounds are lovely and the lease free is well kept and cleaned up. The lake as they call it leaves a lot to be desired, It is more like a large swimming pool filled with river ware. Not my idea of going to the beach.
