We've been planning to go to a theater play for the past couple of years, but always ended up seeing a movie instead. Last night we finally went for it and we enjoyed every minute of it. It was a Shakespeare play, Equivocation. I have so much respect for the highly talented actors and for the energetic organizers. Thank you for a wonderful night!

We subscribe to Vertigo Theater and have enjoyed live performances for several years. Staging is out of this world, but simple. Actors are professional and do a great job. Directing is always good. Selection of shows has been very rewarding over the years. Worth a visit if you have not seen Vertigo productions before and you enjoy live theater.

This theater is unfortunately not at the forefront when it comes to theater in Calgary, and it's a shame. Very rarely, VERY rarely do we come away disappointed from a play here. The talent is amazing, The location is terrific, and it is a terrific was of spending an afternoon or evening. This is our second year as season ticket holders, and we'll do it again. Like everything, some stories aren't as good as others but you get that in everything. Definitely worth trying out if you've never been, and especially if you love a good mystery.

This is our 6th year as season ticket holders. The selection each year of mystery plays continues to surprise. This season opened with the excellent Fairwell, my lovely (by Raymond Chandler). Try one show then consider becoming a subscriber as there is a considerable discount. Also, buy the parking pass for the convenience. We are dedicated Theatre Calgary subscription holders, but decided to give the Vertigo Mystery Theatre a go with “The Hound of the Baskervilles”, and we were very impressed. I like the classics, and with the great seats we had, (I don’t think there are any bad seats here) the show really came to life. We will be going back.

I am a season ticket subscriber and they are a great source of entertainment if you enjoy a good mystery. Situated in the heart of downtown Calgary, they are easy to get to and a true treasure in the performing arts community in Calgary.

HendersonCalgary

It is a very small theatre and you are able to be very close to the actors and it really doesn't matter where you sit. You are able to see everything. There are no assigned seating.

I have been a season ticket holder for 4 years now, taking in all 5 plays every year. There has been a good variety , from classical to modern, even some musicals ( not my cup of tea) Seems like every year there was duds, and typically end with a good one as the last play.Stage is intimate with no seat more than 200 ft away.On average, I enjoyed my outings and intend to remain a subscriber.

ScottieCalgary

I have seen many plays and an operatical musical, which would rival anything on Broadway or London. If you like live mystery theatre, this is world class

great family fare, excellent "who dun its" classic Hitchcock, Ellery Queens etc. easy to park off 10th Ave

It wasn't what I had been expecting. I guess I shouldn't have such high expectations going in. I've been to the theatre in Vancouver, Toronto, London, Paris, Prague, and Berlin, so I have troubles not comparing.

The theatre itself was very nice and there were a few good actors. I think the storyline was a good idea but I don't think it executed well. I think I'm going to stick with Theatre Calgary and the Pumphouse Theatre.

We went to Land of the Dead when it first opened. The theatre is set up so that no matter where you are sitting, you have a great view (we were in the Studio). The show was really good, and we'll definitely get tickets to more in the future.
