From this park you have a view of the back of the Parlement, very nice. Also dont miss the statue of Maurice (te Rocket) Richard that is at the entrance of the park. Very nice area to have a picnic. Lots of byke trails.

The park is a must to visit during the colorful automn of Quebec. The view is magnificent. If it was not a bit too cool, we had stayed there all day. I felt such beauty can be the best anxiolytic treatment for all.

This park has a trail that goes besides the Ottawa river. The view to ottawa from there is amazing. It's just beside the Canadian history museum, so you can easily go there after visiting the museum.

Very well situated! Near downtown Ottawa and Gatineau. Lots of festivals in the summer. Winterlude in march is ideal for young families. Dont miss the Maurice Richard Montreal Canadians hockey legend statue at the entrance at the corner of Laurier and Allumetieres.

Beautiful wilderness with dynamic river. I wished I'd reserved a river trip(rafts, kayaks, etc.) but I had a lovely hike. The welcome center is very nice with helpful staff. I was amazed how wild and unspoiled the park is being so close to a urban area.

Beautiful park with a marina close by. Once a year we have the hot air balloon festival which attracts people from local to foreign, with many attractions, such as local artists, singers, bands and of course the lifts of hot air balloons, one in the early morning and one in the evening. Very spectacular with balloons of differents shapes and sizes. People gather on the lookout across the river just to see the show.

We visited during Winterlude 2014. We stayed on the Ontario side and visited the festivities there on the Saturday, but decided to check out Jacques Cartier Park on the Sunday. We had a great time and would definitely recommend checking this out during Winterlude, big snow/ice slides, fun activities for the kids and big snow sculptures! Had a blast, I believe more fun than on the Ottawa side!

This park in Gatineau has a wonderful view across the River towards Parliament. During Winterlude, this place is the place for adventure! Get your snowpants ready for sliding down the ice slides, trying out the interactive activities and stuffing your face with poutine and beavertails! So much fun!!(parking can be tricky though, so either arrive early or late)

Sliding was wonderful. Food is always way to expensive though!! Lots to choose from but as I said very expensive especially when you have more than one child.

Great park for long walks. It has a great view of the river and the parliament buildings. From the park, the walkway leads to the museum of civilizations. Well maintained and clean.

Every year Ottawa/Gatineau celebrates winter with the Winterlude Festival. Jacques Cartier Park in Hull/Gatineau provides many activities for the young and young at heart. Mazes, tubing, ice slides, and ice sculptures it's great. Dress well and you'll enjoy this site!
