There are walking paths and an outdoor chapel. there is something for everyone.. If you want a peaceful and quiet time, go to Beauvoir. they also have a home to where you can go and rest and get better. the food is great and room and board is included in the low price.
For me Sancuaire De Beauvoir is good for one thing. The scenic view! It's awesome!Else, I let the believers of catholicism to rater this.
The clergy really knew how to pick there spots, the view from the sactuaire is beautifull. Apart from the nice old chapel there's not much to see. But it's still worth the trip.
We had a guided tour of the Gospel Walk and it was very good! Sanctuaire de Beauvoir is far enough away from the city to have a peaceful walk in the forest, but close enough to go there often. The stone chapel offers shelter from the elements and a quiet place to pray. The smoked salmon is excellent you have to take some with you! We will definitely be visiting this beautiful place while we are learning French in Sherbrooke!
While hidden on the outskirts of Sherbrooke, the Sanctuaire was a beautiful place to visit. The view from the Church is an expansive view of the city. We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman, who apologized for his English, but who spoke English very well. We walked around the grounds and didn't want to leave.
Go here at night and see the beautiful sky lit up with all of Sherbrooke and it's surrounding's. This is also a nice place to visit in the daytime. Visit the inside of the chruch and the walk the paths outside.
Peaceful, historical, inspires Love I am. I was just passing through and I wanted to stay for a while, they seem to have outdoor mass, holy statues in the park along with the stations of the cross.
The Chemin de Beauvoir is very nice for bicycling during automn. The multiple colors of the leaves are beautifull. When you have climb the hill, you will see the sancuary and can take a break to admire the view around.
A haven of peace 10 min. from downtown. Worth the search! One of the most beautiful viewpoints of the city. Old stone chapel one of the oldest in the aera- a must see!. Dont' miss the outdoor way of the cross (peaceful) and the Sunday mass in the open during summer. Also a very challenging climb for bikers!
We have lived in Sherbrooke for a number of years and drive past Beauvoir almost every day always intending "drive up there one day." Well, we finally drove up there! We went in the Fall when the leaves were nearly at their peak and I made for a very picturesque view in every direction. We always enjoyed stepping inside the old church building - quite and interesting structure. There is additionally a nature walk behind the complex. The day we went there weren't very many people but it is obvious that the Sanctuaire can accomodate a large number of people. We will definitely return in the summer, picnic lunch in hand.
Wonderful for someone wants to have some peace and quiet. There's a walking path in the woods. And also there's a restaurant on location.
The Sanctuaire's road is interesting to climb, because when you almost at the top, you begin to see the cross at the top of one of the two churches. It is some thing like a satisfaction after you did a good effort to climb the last 12% hill. Nice place also to walk and meditate.
This is a high point in Sherbrooke. If you need to reset your energy this is a great place to go. Fresh air, a great view of Sherbrooke and a very nice and small chapel on the site gives you a peaceful spell.
We drove to Sanctuaire De Beauvoir as the Delta hotel staff recommended to us. It was amazing, the view the little chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. My children and I really enjoyed the area.
Belle petite chapelle rustique. La vue est très belle. Les sentiers sont calmes et agréables. Il y a du stationnement gratuit. Si vous êtes proches, je recommande une petite visite.
