Just three days and big memory...for me and my son, because celebrated birthday my son,26 year old...we go to tennis court every morning, canoe, restaurante LA Forge,Bullseye,Fondue, grepeire,Socialize with people, walk in park, good walking area, swimming pool,Scandinavian spa, gondola take for mountant and I see haw wanderfull our country ,I make beautiful picture, good memory
Superb skiing on three faces of a BIG mountain, well groomed, challenging trails, excellent lifts, short lines, great facilities at top and bottom.
I have been here before, this time it seems things have changed. When last there 12 or more years ago, you could bring a bottle of wine to the square and have lunch on a table, now, there are signs saying "no alcohol allowed in public areas. Sad, as Quebec skiing and wine "was" the last hold out for enjoying certain things out doors. I also felt there wasn't much action in the village like there was before. I was sure there was a massive night club back then when now just little ones scattered about the village. Sort of no action at night unless your young. I was looking for more après ski afterwards and really could not find any. Where was the live out door music or at least one bar at the bottom of the hill with a DJ and maybe some freebies or specials like in other ski areas? I know we were between march breaks but hey! We can be adults and have fun too!!The wine drinking and apres fun aside, we were lucky to hit some good weather, warm and sun with snow over night. Usually, it is very cold here. We skied the north and south and even seemed to find a bit of an area on the Casino side that was very powdery. First time on many of the runs too made me wonder if I had missed some runs the last time I was there. Lucky for once, no ice.We got a good deal on ski tickets, plus got some tickets through Air Miles which seemed cheaper over all. Buy on line but far from the time you have scheduled your trip. The village had some things going for it still, the stores and food, but slippery walking so bring your night time walking up hills on ice footwear, and maybe even protective head gear from kids throwing things from the balconies or ice falling from the roof.Good hotels, good food, get gas for your vehicle in St Jovite if your getting low on fuel and bring other kinds of fuel with you as you may find some prices a little high in bars/pubs. You have to go there at least once.
Wow! This resort does live up to all the hype! We just returned from a ski vacation, and loved this mountain. We stayed right in the village, steps away from the gondola. In fact, there are several hotels well within walking distance to the gondola. The ski trails are wide and well groomed, the entire mountain is so well maintained! We actually loved the North side more then the South, since it was less crowed and the trails there are fantastic. A tip: don't miss the Casino: Smoke free, with a decent amount of slot machines. There is a free bus shuttle to the casino, but if you go during daylight hours, you can take a gondola there which is much quicker. ( the bus shuttle stops at EVERY hotel). Restaurants we recommend: Pizzaterra, Le Shack ( for brunch) and the Beavertails for a delicious snack. Also, our son loved the Aqua-club, it's a lot of fun! Finally, dress warmly, it really is as cold as they say.
Totally fun time. Lots of varied terrain with fun for beginner to expert skiers. We were beginner-intermediate to intermediate-expert, and we were all able to ski together. March weather was perfect. Not too cold and sunny-beautiful. Will definitely be going again.
The skiing area is very well organized and offers slopes for everybody. The main cable cars are backed up by chair lifts on which the waiting times are frequently way shorter? Why taking the gondola when you can keep your skis on and ride the chair lift?At my stay in the first week of March skiing started at 7:45. And that's just awesome for carving freaks when the snow is still very hard and cold. Slopes are of good quality and people that love snow parks find a good spot here. There's plenty. The slopes on the northern site of the mountain tend to get a little bit more icy than the southern slopes. You're not having skis? No worries. The rental center at the base of the skiing area is very efficient and the prices are excellent.Note that you can get very good offers by booking everything at least two days in advance online. It can save you up to 40%. Apart from that, you're tickets get delivered to the front desk of selected hotels.
The resort is very nice and everything seems to be well organized. There are few minuses comparing to other ski resorts:1. no outside aprez-ski areas - you cant drink a hot drink outside the restaurants2. they are using paper ski passes and in order to take the ski lift a person has to scan your lift pass. Ski passes are tagged to your ski suits - i find this to be so past dated. Nowadays every modern ski resort has magnetic ski lift passes.3. the slops are too short - in 5 mins you are down.4. most of the ski lifts are opened (they don't have covers) and they are very slow in ascending. In - 15'c anyone gets frozen until it reaches the peak. All in all, an average ski resort from the slops/skiing part!
Back to a mountain for the 1st time in about 10 yrs. Tremblant didn't disappoint!! Very cold but the weather is what it is. Was not happy that my new skis ( that replace my 30 yr old 190's ) have a tail that was too wide to fit in the slots on the gondal so I had to put them inside!! Hope that they address this in the off season. The variety of runs and terrain make Tremblant a great family resort.
Brilliant ski resort with many different types of terrain for any level of ski/snowboarder . The 3000 ft altitude gave us great /long runs and the line ups were minimal Highly recommend this resort
It's a great ski resort for families as there are so many nice easy runs for everyone to do together. We were there for 4 days and that was enough to have skied all of the greens and blues a few times over. There are plenty of blacks to keep the experts happy too and as we were there during the week it wasn't too busy. The only drawback was that it was the coldest Feb on record and with -34 on one day it was more like an endurance test than skiing with icicles forming on our eyelashes half way down the mountain! All good fun though.
We like to go to Mont-Tremblant for our son's Feb school break, even though we live in Vermont. The reason is 1) to ski somewhere different, and 2) because they offer a 5 day lift ticket for minors (to 17) for $109, and $209 for adults. For 5 days! Not bad. The hotels are also reasonable. And Mont-Tremblant is beautiful, and big. The downside is that it is cold. Like minus 24 degrees Fahrenheit cold. Mostly it is around the minus 2-6 degrees. Add wind, sometimes viscous, and it can be very cold. But bundle up and have a blast. We did.
I have been here several times and am NEVER disappointed. The skiing here is simply amazing! There are three sides of the mountain with three distinct feels to them. Some of my favourite runs are as follows:- toboggan - Jesse Jay Anderson- Erik guey- Duncan. These routes are classic and a pleasure to ski. The only things which suck about this resort are as follows:- there is no night skiing (this was upsetting the first time we visited.)- the ski day ends at 3:30 or 4:00pm depending on the time of year. - the village is a bit contrived and they charge you a Tremblant tax which is in addition to the regular tax. 3% extra adds up. These small nuisances aside if you come ski here you will fall in love and love to return as I do every year.
We go to Mont tremblant every year in summer. Great place with good apartments, nice restaurants and so much to do for every age group. You have lots of activities for kids, gondola ride, casino, beautiful lake where you can rent motorboat, small beach and much more.Great destination to spend few days with your family and friends.
Village is beautiful. Slopes are crowded on weekends. Snow conditions average. Service very good. Price of lift tickets average.
