I love the rolling curving drive through those mountains. With so many ski restaurants and winter activities you can do just off the highways, it is a must to travel north to your destination. Sta Saveur, Mont Blanc, Mt Tremblant and the villages with some great shops...there is always something to see and do driving north from Montreal. The roads can be tricky if the weather is not good. The views amazing and the rocky cliffs, and high peaks and valleys are majestic

I have been to St Sauveur and Mount Tremblant, and St Agathe des Monts, and many little towns on the way. The Laurentian Mountains are beautiful ear popping as you go up lol. I love St Sauveur a really nice town with shopping, eating some factory outlets. Mount Tremblant is expensive and the shops are expensive the town is really pretty. You feel like you are in a Swiss resort. There are hotels and lots of things to do however it is further than the first destination bring a camera, skis, boards mosquito repellent in the summer. They do have a blues festival in the summer amazing attractions and tons of people.

This is the 16th consecutive year skiing at Mount Tremblant. We typically schedule our trip the first or second week in Feb. At this time, the slopes are not too crowded, and the rates are reasonable. The ski school is excellent, with highly qualified and friendly instructors.

We absolutely loved the sights all around us as this was so much different then the flat land we live in in Florida. The mountains were majestic and all covered with snow making this a wonderland for winter lovers. Even though the roads are pretty tough to drive on, the views all around make up for it. What a beautiful sight to have once in a while!

Great to have all these hills to ski and hike in summers so close to the city. Lots of cute villages as well.

The drive up from Montreal to Mont Tremblant is spectacular summer and winter. Ski slopes on all sides, little villages - something right out of old Europe. Hiking-Biking-Skiing -Swimming, Quebecors are lucky to have a place like this so close by. The drive to Mt Tremblant is around 1.5 hours - the village at the bottom built by Intrawest is just like going to Europe - just cheaper if you live in Ontario or Quebec. Love this place.

I lived in Val David for a few years when I was growing up - right up the street from Pere Noel Village, next to the Duquette Farm. The montreal laurentians are second to none when it comes to an escape from the city. If I had a complaint it would be the mossquitos - or as we call them bebet...

Been going to the Laurentians all my life. Great mountains, lakes, hiking, biking, skiing, food and fun roads to cycle or motorcycle on. If you are visiting Montreal or Ottawa, discover the Laurentian mountains and its massive beauty and charm.

a ZEN moment to visit the oldest mountains on the planet. With the right lighting they provide truly memorable views with all kinds of wonderful stops along the way. Restaurants are readily available with as much variety in choice as well as quality. For those who like to take nature walks, all kinds of options are available.

There are plenty of interesting spots in the countryside / mountains just an hour's drive north of Montreal: great hiking / biking / skiing, camping as well as shops, restaurants, spas and hotels. St. Sauveur is nearby and Mt. Tremblant is a bit further north - it is touristy but there are many fun activities.

We stopped in at least 3-4 small towns, charming shops, great little restaurants, lovely parks. Definitely a day well spent on our vacation to Montreal!

We hired a car for a day and drove into the Laurentian Mountains. It was well worth it for the great small towns in the area and the fantastic scenery. Getting there was easy along route 15 and the attractions are well sign-posted. We probably missed the best of the autumn colours as we visited at the end of October, but it was still a great day out. The thanks giving displays in Saint Sauveur were well worth seeing.
