Wonderful place to visit with the Grand kids in the Holidays, spent part of a wonderful sunny HB afternoon here, and will be going back next hols for sure!!
A well presented showroom that is both educational and interesting. There is a honey tasting table that leads to the inevitable purchase of delicious product
We stopped in past here on a sunny afternoon it wasn't too busy and we were warmly greeted by a lady at the door.We were directed towards the honey tasting , this of course is the highlight of the visit the superb aroma and sweetness lasts with you long after you've sampled .The party included 2 younger children they were fascinated by the bees and honeycomb it's great for kids to learn honey doesn't come from the supermarket!!!!Treat yourself to some honey and while your at it Buy some of there excellent Manuka honey based products .
Excellent place to visit especially with younger kids, interactive things for kids to do around honey bees, free different types of honey to try then you can buy if you want to, free entry and a great place to spend an hour while in Havelock North.
This is an excellent place to take kids to on a wet day in Hawkes Bay. There is an interactive exhibition about honey and bees. The kids can get dressed up as bee keepers and there are live bees to watch and microscopes to examine bee related things. You can also have a taste of the yummy honey. It is free to get in.
Great learning experience for the young and old. And awesome tastings available of the many different types of honey. Yummy! Staff are very welcoming and informative.
This place was awesome. Tried all the honey. Learnt a lot about the Bees and Honey. Love the shop for all the beautiful things they sell. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
Our daughters aged 11 and 13 years enjoyed the informative video here. Good facilities; toilets and refreshments (ice creams and drinks to takeaway) Loved tasting all the different types of honey. We brought supplies to make rolled beeswax candles
A great insight into Bees and how they produce the honey. Lots of honey on offer to taste and of course buy, at reasonable prices.
So worth a visit, the information available is excellent. The tasting is even better. Suitable for young and old!
Free entry, friendly staff, free samples of various honeys and an informative interactive honey centre. It's the whole package. It gets busy at times so try to get in early. Definitely recommended.
We always take visitors here, especially if they have children. Half the shop is set aside as an education centre, and the kids (and adults) can view the live bee wall and look at bee parts through a microscope and learn all about bees and honey. Then there is the tasting table with about 7 different honeys to try. Lots of things to buy too, like honey, hand creams, candles, bee toys, sweets etc.
A well organised visitors center, being a local I wasn't that bothered but called in anyway and found it well worth it. the sampling of all the different types of honey was a highlight for me and also very tasty. Worth a quick stop if you are in the area.
Not significantly cheaper than buying at the Supermarket. It was interesting seeing all the different types of honey and being able to sample them before buying makes it worth a look.It is a worthwhile stopover if you are going somewhere else but wouldn't recommend it as a solo trip venue.
Great place for all the family, affordable honey and gifts. friendly staff , fun and educational especially for children. You can sample the honey before you buy. I buy gifts and liquid honey to add to our breakfast cereal. I buy manuka honey umf 10+ extra good when your body needs a boost. Also plenty of car parks. This shop is a wonderful asset to our lovely area of Havelock North.
