This is a great place to share lunch with friends or just to relax with a glass of wine. The view from the front lawn is very peaceful.

Enchanting place with a dash of mysterious magic atmosphere. Absolutely wonderful experience. Love the chapel. Thanks for a lovely memory.

Beautiful old building and spectacular grounds. Free historic tour was short but very entertaining and informative. We only had a short time there, would have loved to spend more time exploring the beautiful estate and grounds. We had to leave before the tasting.

We had a wonderful evening of wine tasting, complimented by a humorous and engaging presentation by Trevor. The setting is spectacular and Trevor knows his stuff - detailing the wines on offer, together with a potted history of the winery. a very pleasant way to spend a sunny summer's evening (followed, of course, by dinner, in the chapel).

We are not great wine buffs but the tasting was part of our tour, and the guide was very entertaining as well as informative. The meal was superb - we were privileged to dine in a room which had been used for a wedding the previous day so had the benefit of the beautiful linens and furnishings.

One of the oldest wineries in NZ. From the Plane Trees lining the sides of the entry to the winery, formerly a Marist Seminary, to the grassed area overlooking the vineyard you are experiencing the history of wine making. The visit was with friends from a Cruise ship visiting Napier. I have visited the winery on many occasions from 1990 to date. This latest visit was well up to expectations. The staff at the "tasting" bar were helpful and knowledgeable. There were a large number of visitors and we did not feel rushed. There is plenty of wine to taste and lots of interesting history to see. The building and surroundings are well cared for and great quality. There is plenty of information on the seminary days, the Napier Earthquake of 1931 and the winery itself. The winery has a Restaurant that has a high reputation. I have personally recommended it to many visitors and friends and have had great feedback. If you are visiting Napier, whether interested in wine or not, it is an attraction not to miss.

We bought some wine at the tasting centre. Delicious and reasonably priced Pinot Noir. Then went to have afternoon tea at the restaurant. The maitre'd or whoever the person was at the reception area was so indifferent and dismissive regarding our questions and after ignoring us when we were seated for more than five minutes we got up and left. This was my first experience of anyone in the service industry in New Zealand being rude and having some sort of attitude. We left without eating and so should you if you encounter this kind of service.
