A great day spent for our family. Rides were busy but the lines weren't too long. The lazy river was relaxing. The food was reasonably priced (we got 2 pizzas and they were delicious). The price was definitely worth it for the fun my family had!
They have added more shaded areas and it is even easier to find a good spot to park up with picnic blankets. The lines for the rides are still an issue, perhaps more of each, bumper boats, carts etc would help.
We loved it - the only thing they need to fix is the locker facilities - $2 each time u want to get into your locker is just mean and over the top pricey - look at scanners or reduce it I.e 50c a time
I liked it. people having fun, swimming, hydro slides, relaxing. Heaps of different things to do for both young and old alike.
It's worth a visit. You'll need to go for the whole day as some of the queues for the rides are long. A bit pricey. Good idea to take your own food and drink.
Take the family. Great day out. Wasn't really my thing because I was on my own. Definitely a family place although I thought the food was a little pricey.
System to enter is absolutely ridiculous especially on schlol visits towards the end of the year. It should be open in winter...indoor pool with spa pools and a big screen...just lacks too much for a "big" Hawkes Bay attraction.
We had a whole day out at spash planet recently. Was a day with extended family including grandparents, aunts and uncles. Its a fun and safe environment that we all enjoy. We bring our own sun shelter and a big picnic lunch. We also make use of the coffee shop and ice cream shop. Awesome day
we were a group of 6 adults and a toddler. The price to entry to everything is amazing and great value. I was in charge of my Grandson, just over 2 and so I paid $5.00 only but still got to do fun stuff with him, ride the train, play in Tiny Town and his dad who paid for the super pass took him on the jeeps etc.
We travelled all the way from Whakatane to spend the day at Splash Planet and it was well worth the drive! Kids and adults had loads of fun, friendly staff and food was good!
This place is only open on weekends unless it's Christmas school holidays. So I'd check before you go, we tried going on a sunny Friday and was closed. Came back on a Saturday, but was too cold for most of the pools so wasn't really worth going, but there are bumper boats a kids train and other activities to keep everyone amused.
Visited for our first time on holiday to the Hawkes Bay. Absolutely awesome. Rides and pools for all ages. A MUST VISIT for anyone with young children. Note, only open in the weekends out of peak season.
This place was great. The rides and pools were busy, but lots of fun. We must have been on one of the busiest days of the year as we went right between Christmas and New Year - even so, it felt like there was a fantastic, family-friendly atmosphere and the queue were not too long for most of the water slides. The downside of the day being so busy was that the queues for the other attractions (awesome water dodgems, go-karts, kayaking etc) were very long. With hindsight - although the water dodgems were a highlight - we should have just paid for the pools and slides, rather than all of the attractions, as we did not really get our money's worth from the other things.I would definitely recommend a trip here, especially if you can pick a quieter day for it.
An awesome spot. Lovely manicured grounds, heaps of activities, some adrenaline junky water slides, just a great spot for the day. We all loved it.
Thanks for your review Briar! So glad the whole family enjoyed the trip, especially the geology and mode of transport! Thanks again for joining us.Kind regardsKimGannet Beach Adv.
