We went on the 'Small Group Uluru Sunrise & Guided Walk', and we highly recommend it to all visitors - it's an early start but well worth it! We were picked up at our resort at 4:30am and driven to the Sunrise Viewing Platform where we were met with light refreshments before heading off to wait for the sunrise. It's an amazing way to see Uluru but be prepared to share the experience with various other tours. Once the sun had risen we met with our walk guide, Sarah, and then headed off on the coach to the base of the Rock. It was a fairly small group of approx 16 people which made it really relaxed and friendly. Sarah's knowledge and presentation was excellent - so knowledgeable and so very passionate which came through with every word. I have a new found respect for this area and its original keepers and was happy to support them on this tour. Another great thing is that with it being so early in the morning the heat is manageable - although towards the end of the tour it was starting to get HOT - but again, Sarah looked after us and only stopped to speak when we were in the shade. You're back at the resort for 11am but you really feel that you've packed a lot into those early hours. Full credit to the whole Guided Tour team. Thanks for an amazing experience.

We had a private tour drive/walk around Ayers Rock. Our guide was well informed and happy to share all his knoweldge with you. He even drew things in the sand to show you what he was talking about. Didn't climb the rock, but you have the choice. The indeginious people have their reasons they don't want people to climb it, but they do allow it. But what a beautiful rock!

Was good, the guide Tamara was full of knowledge and full of life, tried hard to get people to mix but me and nephew the only English the rest where mainly german and did not want to mix apart from the Belgium and itallian (sebena). A little more walking than expected but some beautiful views and slept in swags which was great. Tamara was very helpful and looked after everybody and made great food. Recommend do the full trip not the 1 day one.

We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history from our Guides - not indigenous - however had so much information and knowledge, it was amazing. We were taken along many tracks around the rock. The ground is quite unstable, so you need to be reasonably fit to do the walks, otherwise you can just sit and wait for the tour to come back and enjoy the view in the meantime.

We took the 2 hour Camel experience with views of Ulura and the Olgas. Camels were well trained and lovable. Quite unexpected. The cameliers Mark and Daren guided us through the desert and gave us details about the area, the camels, and large reptiles. Felt very safe and comfortable on top of the camels. They all have special personalities. Gentle Apollo was our ride but Oprah was the loudest. It was the highlight of our Outback adventure. We also participated in the Sunset viewing with wine and nibblies of Ulura the Big Rock, the people on the viewing trail were fun.

We took the "Sounds of Silence" tour and enjoyed it immensely. It was very well organized from beginning to end. The evening begins at a beautiful setting, with great views of the sunset, being served cocktails and snacks (including crocodile and kangaroo bites), and serenaded by an aboriginal native playing (and explaining about) the didgeridoo. The event is well organized and the timing is very relaxed. After sunset, you are escorted to an open-air area where tables are set up with white table-cloths, and a delicious buffet dinner is provided -- the food is very good (and, if you advise them in advance re food allergies, they are very accommodating and can adapt the menu)After dinner, there is an interesting and informative talk by a professional astronomer, before the bus returns you to your hotel.
