Thank you for your comments, we appreciate your feedback. Seppeltsfield has certainly made a statement with its new cellar door facility and FINO Restaurant, while maintaining the integrity of the architecture. We are very proud of the history this winery has to offer, with its fortified wine stocks dating back to 1878, the only winery in the world to release a 100 year old wine each year. There are some great cocktail recipes on our website - "The mixology trend redefining fortified wine". Cheers and enjoy.Nicole.

Hello Ann-Marie, thank you for your kind words. Redeveloping such an old site does have its hurdles with complimenting the old with the new! We are very pleased with the result as we were able to reuse a lot of the old building materials. For example the new bluestone walls you now see are from the original wall, built in 1898, this wall covered the front of the cellar door (old bottling hall) building, we removed this and then reconstructed it. All of the steps and landings are made from 1880's Mintaro slate, these pieces were taken from the lids of the open top fermenters in our Gravity Flow Winery that were no longer required. It truly is a credit to the wonderful local trades and artisans that worked on this project.Glad to see you found some great wines - don't forget to try the cocktail for the Ruby!Cheers,Nicole.

DrBretJ

Hello Bret, you obviously took our Centenary Tour - a great way to see the winery and taste the 100 year old Para Vintage Tawny - a rare and luscious wine. You also get to walk alongside over 130- years of history and find your birth year and taste directly from that barrel.Glad you enjoyed your tour!Cheers,Nicole.
