Dream come true to come and watch a cricket game here. An amazing facility with a great look. Easy to get around and plenty of services inside which are easy to access.
awesome new stadium....definitely best to sit in the western stand as more protection from wind, sun, rain depending on the weather...good bar/toilet facilities...food and drink is expensive though so we normally bring some snacks along and eat elsewhere....try to get along to a power game which is definitely the best fan experience going in the afl at the moment...
A huge complex and well developed from the little country ground it used to be. A true test match site nowadays
Fantastic cricket ground. Went for the landmark India v Pakistan World Cup game. Did not disaapoint! Fast entry, great facilities. And India won!
WOW WOW WOW hats of to Adelaide what a magnificent stadium. Everything from leading up to it, the surrounds and then when you enter its unreal. By far the best ground to watch footy at, incredible!
Visited Adelaide Oval when there was welcome celebrations for the Indian cricket team. Saw the stadium after many years. New and a feeling of openness. great view no matter which side the seats were. I particularly liked the ambience and the city only few minutes walk. Seeing the foreign and interstate visitors enjoying the atmosphere and revelling made me feel very proud to an Adelaidian
We came here for the England v Bangladesh game.although England never lost it was a great experience to see the oval.a fantastic stadium with a spacious feel to it.the screens were also good giving u great coverage no matter where u sat .
Very happy to be back at Adelaide Oval for the Cricket World Cup match, Bangladesh v England. Got great seats this time, right behind the bowler’s arm at the front of the Riverside Stand. Though it did get a bit hot there in mid-afternoon. Enough facilities were open so there were no long queues. It wasn’t a huge crowd but it did seem mainly to be a very happy, supportive, and colourful red and green one. The friendly Bangladesh supporters were chanting and dancing in the aisles when their team won, not something we’ve seen much at this ground in the past.
The upgrade is done wonderfully.. watched the Adelaide Strikers Vs Hurricane Hobart's match on New Years eve and then India Vs Pakistan on 15th Feb.. and what a pleasure it was to be there on both the occasions and enjoy the game!
Any chance you get to watch a major sporting event at the New Adelaide oval is an experience. Atmosphere is electric and the ground looks unbelievable with open end and Morton Bay figs, the grand old scoreboard and the view over the Cathederal. If you are lucky enough to access the members area on the western side you are sheltered from the afternoon sun and enjoy the ambience of the Marques out on the back lawns. It's a social event in itself, particularly during the test match. Take care sitting in the Eastern grandstand, particularly in the late afternoon as you are looking straight into the sun.I have also attended several corporate functions there and the facilities are world class. Great catering, friendly and helpful staff and very modern convention facilities.
We were there to watch Ind. vs Pakistan for the cricket world cup and we had such a good time. The ground is very modern, very well planned with enough food stands, water facilities and bathrooms. The seats were comfortable, grass was perfectly cut and green.
I was there for India vs Pakistan Cricket World cup match ! SImply enjoyed the atmosphere ! Electrifying ! And i have to mention about Adelaide and the city (Adelaide Oval) lovely people lovely city !
This has always been regarded as a world class cricket ground and it is now even better with all new facilities and really modern design everywhere, no shabby places to worry about.Watch out for the hot summer sun as the eastern stand loses its morning shade cover about 1:30CDST as the shade begins to cover the western stand, so high up in the south stand (behind the bowler, batsmen) is best bet.Food is pricey - this is subject of controversy here at the moment however a pack lunch is the way to go.Do take the opportunity to walk 200 metres over the pedestrian bridge to the clean and peaceful city of Adelaide and its attractions - for example during the lunch time sessions. The view of the ground, the river and the surrounds is "something to die for"And they have rock concerts (The Stones) , Rugby, Soccer and lots of other happenings so look out for these and book well in advance. You will enjoy every second of your experience munching on peanut paste [butter] sandwiches, sipping your coffee! No BYO grog remember !
I was impressed by the Adelaide Oval because it is an innovative display of blending sport with culture. What a lovely stadium and surrounding areas.
Great place to watch a footy game or go to a concert. Food and drink prices however are unacceptable. You can take your own sealed plastic bottles and food however.
