Great wine and hospitality the location had a spectacular view. It was a very enjoyable afternoon thanks Tony
Had amazing plough man' s lunch on a summer day with good wine and music service great and we bought a bottle for later
Well a strange name but a very good little Winery nestled in the northern Tamar River area. We arrived early afternoon and enjoyed wine tasting, a very plentiful grazing plate for a late lunch and an interesting and informative chat with one of the owners. The Riesling is highly recommended and the ambience sitting out on the deck and admiring the vista below was a great start to our Tassie holiday.
Had a great tasting and goaty hill had won some awards the night before at the tassie wine show. Four of us sat down to a huge platter and a glass of wine. Pity we were riding motorbikes could of stayed all arvo listening to a lady singing in the background. Perfect way to spend a Saturday arvo.
We sat out here to have some wine and food and were lucky to experience live bands. So as you can imagine ended up drinking lots of wine. Great tassie wines bought a case to take home. Very friendly service.
Don't miss this winery as part of your Tamar Valley wine experience. Light food options as well as tasting are available upon arrival and the hosts, particularly Tony take great care of their visitors. Include with a visit to Beaconsfield and the Batman Bridge.
This was our first winery that we visited in the Tamar Valley and I think it must be the best. The wine was absolutely lovely and then we had a great food platter. It was the Tasmanian Cheese Platter!! The surroundings were very pleasant; neat and trimmed lawns with a lovely little dog called Rusty greeting you when you arrive.
This is a great little winery and well worth a visit, even as a destination. Apart from the very nice wines served free as tastings, there are lovely nibbles and a superb cheese and biscuit platter for sharing. Make it lunch. The grounds are superb, tidy, neat. To die for.
Fabulous setting, friendly staff and best of all great wines. Their Riesling is to die for, the Pinot Gris, sparkling and Pinot Noir are not far behind. We enjoyed a cheese platter, listened to live music and checked out the outdoor art works. A must include winery on any tour of the Tamar.
Another stop on the Tamar Wine Route. Great location on a hilltop with expansive Tamar views. Really nice selection of wines and very friendly staff. Normally can't come at Pinot Gris but tried it at the staff's insistence...very pleasant surprise. Also had some funky art installations at the time on the lawns. Great setting, nice wines...winner!
The location of the tasting room at Goaty Hill must have been deliberately chosen as sitting on the outside deck admiring the vines and the view is just heavenly. The wines are great too and you can indulge yourself with a lovely platter of dips or cheeses. Life doesn’t come much better than this! The winery is on the road to the Batman Bridge from Beaconsfield so it’s very easy to find and well worth a visit.
Just a quick stop to taste of few of the local wines. It was a lovely experience with the staff being very knowledgeable and helpful. Worth a stop.
Lovely spot, great wine (pinot & sauv blanc really good), friendly staff, relaxing and very enjoyable
We loved our visit today, a super plate of cheese and a glass of pinot plus tastings of some excellent sauvignon blanc and chardonay. All introduced with enthusiasm by one of the owners.
The owner is enthusiastic and keen to let you taste all his wines. We very much enjoyed chatting to him about wine, and enjoyed our lunch platter overlooking the vineyardThis, to me, was what a trip to a vineyard should be about
