Every time I have people visiting from interstate I do not let them leave without paying a visit here. This small charming chocolate shop is amazing! You can tell that love and care has been put into every chocolate. This shop sets the benchmark for all chocolates... I always think... Not as good as a nutpatch chocolate

To celebrate Australia Day 2015, my daughters, wife and I drove to Kettering to visit this small, but magnificent chocolate shop. When we arrived in Kettering we spotted the small shop front and went in. The owner was delightful and took his time to explain the different processes as well as managed to hold a couple of conversations with our teenage daughters. The chocolate was amazing as was the artwork on the chocolates. Nutpatch Nougat is definately worth visiting when down in the south of Tassie. It is always great when a businesses staff and products are exceptionally good... Well done Nutpatch..

We had heard a lot about Nutpatch Nougat and the quality of their chocolate, so we decided to make the trip down to Kettering to check it out. On arrival the building is small and unassuming, and belies the magic that lies within. On going inside we were greeted by owner and master craftsmen John, who so welcoming and engaging. Within minutes of our arrival the store was full of people (both kids and adults), and yet John who was working by himself still managed to attend to everybody's needs while proving numerous and interesting stories regarding his chocolate and the production process. On first taste of the chocolate everything I had been told was true, this is simply world class and better than anything I have ever had. What makes the chocolate even more special is John, he is a really genuine and humble guy who is in the top echelon of his craft. If you visit Hobart, then do yourself a favour and go pay him a visit. (Thank you Rick from Bruny Island Safaris for giving us the tip).

What a nice experience. We went with three generations of family and all the kids were given cups of melted chocolate. The stuff tastes great but there is also a lot of imagination and a real sense elf humour in some of the products. The owner is friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about his craft. This is the kind of place you'd expect in central Paris (or Bruges) but here it is in Kettering. Very very good.

Amazing little store. The owner is a very talented person with what he does with the products. The creme Brule chocolates are just amazing.

John is a Master who does not need to market his product because it speaks (or should I say tastes) for itself! He is a generous host who genuinely loves what he does - and he does it with excellence. His chocolates are works of art that hit the palette and explode with flavors and textures that are to die for. I can't recommend this little place enough. Step in, taste and buy... You will be back!! Thank you John for generously teaching me through your kind demonstration. So appreciated.

If you are a chocoholic, this little spot is the place for you. You must make it a point to visit the Nutpatch, if for nothing else, to see the little chocolate works of art on display. I guarantee you will not escape without trying and buying the absolute finest chocolate made on this planet.I pride myself in looking for the finest chocolate throughout the world. I always bring back chocolate from my travels, hence have brought back chocolate from Belgium, Ecuador, Paris and now Tasmania. This is my #1 choice for the world's most beautiful and most delicious chocolates.I guarded these chocolates with my life - making certain no customs agent was going to own them. Giovanni wrapped them ever so carefully that I can say everyone of them survived without a scratch. Now, as I dole out these chocolates only to my most special friends and family, I will close my eyes and remember this wonderful shop, knd owner and smack my lips as I recreate the taste of the world's finest chocolate in my mind.Don't miss this tiny spot - you must be brave and look for it. There is no road signage so persevere and you will be greatly rewarded.

John is a wonderful host with an interesting story behind his chocolates. Taste some of the most remarkable flavours ever created. See some masterful sculpting with chocolate and you can't help but buy something from this shop. If you can't visit - enquire with them and they ship everywhere in specially cooled packs. Must visit.

Don't the size of the place fool you. This place makes quality chocolates, and the choice was impressive. John makes wonderful chocolates. The only downside is that it now makes it hard to eat other's chocolates. Well worth a visit.

We visited here as part of our tour of Bruny Island. It doesn't look much from outside, but once you go inside it is another world. Beautiful displays of chocolates greet you. Sarah took us through a history of the making of chocolates. After listening to Sarah it goes without saying that "chocolates aren't Chocolates". We were given several tastings and they were all so delicious. John showed us a display of the chocolates that he has made and gets orders for from all over the world. It was a terrific experience for us being shown the history of Italian chocolate making and then being able to taste them.

The story of the Nutpatch Nougat and Confectionery and it's chocolates was so interesting - a great business, very personal and so tasty.

John was magnificent. Told us fabulous stories until I cried with joy! Buy the raspberry and lychee chocolate...and the champagne chocolate. In fact, just any chocolate there!

This fantastic little chocolate store is hidden away in an old petrol station. You could easily miss it as you drive past, but make sure you don't! The chocolate is superb and John and Sarah are most helpful and interesting. We dropped in on our way back from Woodbridge and again at the end of a Bruny Island tour bought up big both times. Very hard to resist.
