Our visit to Rod Page in his beautiful bushland studio was one of the highlights of our holiday. Rod was unpacking a kiln on the day, so we were there to see the beautiful objects as they came into the world for the first time. We purchased a couple of treasures, still warm from the kiln! Rod explained the fascinating process of his unique crystal glaze, and made a piece for us on the pottery wheel. What a great thing to be able to meet such a distinguished craftsman, and see him working in his studio. Rod made us very welcome, it was an altogether inspiring and special experience. Highly recommend a visit to Rod's studio if you love high quality craftsmanship and creativity. We combined the trip with an exploration of Bonny Hills and Lake Cathie. A great day.
