I called into this little haven of heaven for both children and adults on my way to Canberra and had my breath taken away. What a wonderful world of colour and sparkle and choices to decorate your home and tree that were endless. It is a shame that it is not so well know by the people of Canberra. It is a million times better than the Christmas shop II visited in New York earlier this year.
When we were handing over the card to pay for what we bought we told the owner that she was giving the European stores a run for their money. We think that the Bredbo store is fantastic. There's a huge range, and we loved that she had grouped items in themes of different colours - made them easy to find. And a huge range of items available. Prices are fair, and plenty of the goods are not made in China.Simple to find on the Monaro Highway at the northern end of Bredbo with parking out front. If you can't find something for your tree then you're not trying. Service was friendly and very, very helpful - the staff spent a bit of time looking for something specific we wanted. They were great. Next year we're going earlier - the owner told us she usually has a lot more stock - goodness knows where she puts it, the store was jam packed.
My sister and I went to the Bredbo Christmas Barn last year. The place was awesome! I have never seen so many fantastic Christmas decorations in one place. The thing about this place is they have stuff you can't find in the shops at Christmas time so if you what to decorate with very cool and unique Christmas decorations, this is the place to go to. They have a huge variety of things and even if you are on a tight budget you can still pick up cool things. I'm definitely going back soon to get more stuff to add to my collection.
We were diving to back from Thredbro on sunday to Canbarra and went through Bredbo it was about 5pm and we saw the sign that said Christmas Barn and we stopped. We couldn't believe our eyes when we went into the shop. It was amazing what was in there. It was there first day of opening for the year. The owner's and staff where so friendly and helpful it was on closing time when we arrived and we stayed there for nearly an hour just talking and taking it all in. We really needed a couple of hours there. The different ornaments in there thousands, everything sorted out in colours all over the huge room, so many different Nativities sets, blown glass ornaments.Actually we can't believe that they don't have a fee to go into the shop as it is well worth it.As we didn't know what we were going into I am now cross with myself that I didn't buy more things. It didn't matter what you bought if it was possible they where very happy to put names date's on what you bought at no charge. They only open their shop from the 1st June till the 23rd Dec each year.Sadly we live in western Australia and won't get back for a few years. I am so pleased that they aloud us to take photo's so we can show our friends and family back home.Thank you So Much Christmas Barn for the amazing Christmas feeling we felt when we walked into your shop.Thank you so much Christmas Barn..
I will have to disagree with Kimmatmoo's statement on bad customer service,.. this shop is amazing. An 8 year old wandering around, stay right by her side, kids pick up stuff all the time. Bad customer service, go shop in Big W get your decorations,.. these decorations at Bredbo are fragile, some limited edition, excellent quality. And sorry, Christmas is focuses on all ages, not just children. I am heading over to the barn tomorrow for her open house,..... I am ready to be Christmas Loved by Leanne and her hubby.
We recently went to the store with our 8 year old daughter where she went to pick up what she was going to purchase to be snapped at by a male staff member to the point we all felt so uncomfortable we had to leave. The store itself was great and wonderful and fantastic even. But the atmosphere towards children (whom Christmas is aimed at) not even near friendly more like they were an inconvenience.
