Orange World is worthy of a visit, more so if you have children. In common with other reviewers we endorse the compliments paid to owner Mario. He has a great Italian personality that adds much to a visit. Regrettably on our day he did not conduct the tour. Instead despite his best efforts our guide started with a poem outlining his life and concluded with playing his guitar whilst singing one of his own compositions. It was in reality not what we had come to hear, yes there was info on the various oranges etc but we felt much of the information about which we had read was missing. Do not let our view deter you from going to Orange World just check that Mario is conducting the tour, he is a natural informer and very entertaining.
Mario and Maria are so welcoming and lovely, tour was very good we loved it and so did our daughter. Mario is just very funny and entertaining, called us by our first names when he told jokes. The freshly swezzed on is just Devine we are going back for more before we head home.
If you are in Mildura, go and see Mario at Orangeworld, and take his tour. Check out the times before you go so you get there at the right time for the tour. We were surprised how much we enjoyed this outing, but that is all courtesy of Mario who is very entertaining and has lots of stories about citrus growing and the Mildura area. His approach is successful as we went there a couple of weeks back and yet we can all still remember many of the facts that Mario mentioned during his tour. So get on board the tractor trailer and go check out his citrus trees! You'll want to ensure all your fruit is local after visiting.
Mario's tour was interactive, informative and at times dare I say, funny! Mario really involved the kids and made an effort to include them even if some of his jokes were lost on them! A real gem!
Although this is a very old attraction in Mildura we still went along to have a look. We thoroughly enjoyed our one hour tour especially our guide and owner Mario. He is entertaining to both adults and children. Learnt everyone's names and referred to you by name in his conversations, history and jokes. Highly recommend a visit. Well done Mario and wife Maria for making this a very pleasant and entertaining visit.
I love tours and places like Orange World. Mario entertained our kids, aged 2 and 4 for an hour on his tour about oranges. It was actually quite interesting and we learnt about the industry in Mildura and even got to squeeze some fresh juice. Worth visiting and a highlight of the trip for our kids. Thanks Mario!
I did the Orange World tour with my sisters and niece (8) and nephew (6). It was a really fun tour for all ages - I think my sisters and I enjoyed it as much as the kids! Mario was an excellent tour guide - I can't imagine the tour would be the same without his enthusiasm and jokes. The free glass of orange juice is delicious, too! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mildura, old or young.
The tour is $12.50 for adults and $10 for seniors. Enjoyable for adults and kids. Mario the owner/ tour guide is a funny guy. The tour is about an hour. Worth checking out.
Mario was the tour guide. He is funny, informative and made our tractor ride very interesting. He made a point of getting to know us and he did little quizzes which was great for the kids and adults.
It is our second visit to orange world to see 'Super Mario' and his wife Maria. First time taking our teenage sons (who actually enjoyed themselves!) and they had a great insight into how hard working people work the land- it is such a cute operation that needs local support. Please visit them and learn how oranges get to our tables, all the best Mario and hope to see you again in a couple of years time, chrs Ben, Liz, Alex and Joe from Kew in Melbourne
This would have been our 4th visit to this orange farm & it won't be the last. The reason being that the owners Mario & Maria are a delightful pair & they would go out of their way to make your visit as much enjoyable as they are.Mario is a funny person & a very good entertainer. His oranges are delectable & I would urge people not to miss paying him a visit at his farm.
Fantasti . Was great for our 2 older children (5 and 7) a bit of a struggle for our 3 y/o though. This family have made the investment to make sure your visit isnfun. Our tour guide Mario was beilliant and made a special effort to learn everbodies name. The tour was entertaining and informative and well worth the money. Orange juice was delicious and we cant wait to try our marmalade and honey! One important t message we took home is next time we are at the supermarket we will make sure we buy only Australian oranges and not the Californian ones that are frequently in the shelves.
My sister and I were very pleasantly surprised with Orange World. It looked a bit dated from the outside, but the very amusing Mario together with the welcoming Maria and informative Uncle Brian (who sang, played the guitar and drove the tractor hauled wagons around the orange groves) made for a most enjoyable visit.Mario certainly had his comic showmanship down pat and kept the visitors (including children) entertained. We later crossed the "Mario" River to spend 2 nights in Mildura but this was certainly the unexpected highlight of our stay there.
We really enjoyed our Orange World experience - lovely hospitable people and very informative tour. A lovely old fashioned, Australian experience. The complimentary orange juice is delicious!
Fantastic time at Orange World. The hosts Mario and Maria make you feel welcome, they are friendly and we enjoyed our visit at the 10000 tree property. Not to forget Uncle Ron who drove the Orange train around the orchard and gave expert commentary about the different orange and mandarin varieties. Entry fee for the tour is very reasonable and more important the tour is enjoyable.
