We had a wonderful walk through the whale museum. Mind blowing some of the information given, and awesome to see some real life sizes of things like Toms fin, whales and boats. Great family outing and reasonably priced.
On a windy and cold day, this little museum seemed an attractive option to spend a few minutes but in fact we found it much more interesting than we expected and ended up being there for well over an hour. The story of the symbiosis between a pack of orcas and a pack of whalers is quite fascinating and is well illustrated and presented. along with various other maritime exhibits.
very interesting history of Eden. All the displays were logically set out giving relevant information.
A small, pleasant, interesting museum over looking the bay and a good way to kill an hour or two (say if it was raining). Enjoyed the video room and hearing all about "Old Tom". Remember to go downstairs as there is more to discover down there.
A must see in Eden. Very informative, well set out displays and the info and skeleton of old tom is excellent. Well worth a couple of hours.
We visited the museum because we thought it was something we should do, being in Eden and having some time to spare. What we didn't expect to find was such a well displayed and interesting exhibition. The presentation in the mini cinema (about 40 minutes long) is well worth watching also. If you want to know about whales and whaling, particularly in the Eden area, then a visit to the museum is an absolute must. Allow 1-2 hours to really get the most out of your visit.
Very interesting and worth a visit. Lots of historical detail and good video too. Very professional.
This is a must for everyone as it tells the story of Australian whaling and its transition from deadly whaling into environmental whaling.
We were surprised by the amount and the quality of the large amount of information provided on the history of Eden and the surrounding area. The information of the whaling industry was far more and very suprising to Martha and myself. The staff are very helpful and had a good knowalage of the museum and the surrounding whaling attractions.
Excellent, well presented information, history & story of Whaling in Eden & Two Fold Bay. The mini cinema has a 40 minute presentation that is well worth watching
Well worth the visit. Loads of history and interesting things to see. A mainstay in Eden you should support it.
Very worthwhile, great way to understand whaling industry, part of Australian history. Very informative, extraordinary feats of bravery by early fishermen.
A brilliant introduction to the history of Eden and the whaling industry. Lots of exhibits and well presented in display centre
What an amazing museum. Very informative about whaling in the area in the late 1800 to early 1900. I was pleasantly surprised.
Found this to be very interesting, however I do feel that the museum is to big and that they had trouble finding things to say. Many facts were repeated several times, saying this it's still worth a visit.
