Wow is all I can say. What an incredible huge collection of genuine 50's pieces and cars. Simply amazing. It is only open to the public once a month and you must book in advance. This is an absolute must see.
For my Mum and Dad it was a trip back in time. Lots of old stories came out when they looked at the vehicles
This is one of the best attractions in Newcastle. We were surprised by the number of cars and memorabilia from the 1950's these guys have on display. They even have a full-size Bat-Mobile replica from the old Batman TV show. If you are interested in cars, 1950's nostalgia, or are interested in what life was like in America in the 1950's - this is a must-see. Friendly staff. They don't mind answering questions about the cars. You have to book ahead of time (check out their website for the dates that they are open, and email them to book a spot). Great value for money. Highly recommended.
Wow come along to visit this fabulous world class American Classic Car Museum. It's well worth the trip you will be amazed by the 65 rare cars and memorabilia in the museum. The owner is continually changing the cars from his vast stock of rare Classics and has a beaut gift shop with some collectable model cars, excellent clothing and memorabilia at a fraction above cost. Hot food, coffee and cold drinks all day and have morning tea and lunch in a beaut old refurnished railway tram on site. The Museum is in an industrial area and can handle up to 300 people so there is plenty of parking for your Classics or Moderns. For Museum details check out the web site at www.lostinthe50s.com.au To reserve your booking please phone Glen on 0249552445 or email glen@lostinthe50s.com.au
If you love the 50's this is the place to see! Step back n time, see many blasts from the past! So good I am going back again & again! Awesome cars too! Top job lost in the 50's!
Amazing experience for our family. A trip back in time to see the cars of old. The look on my son's face when we were investigating the delorean was worth it. Amazing place, Great cars and people are so helpful if you have any questions,. We will definately be back again
I have visited twice and will definitely return to Lost In The 50s. On the second trip, I organised a cruise for approximately 20 classic car enthusiasts. Everyone had a great day, no complaints at all. The staff are excellent. We were even given off-street parking for our classic cars.
We are regular visitors to the lostinthe50s car museum in Cameron Park, outside Newcastle NSW. The owners Glen & Kelly and their family have created a wonderful, family outing for all ages. Not only are the cars amazing but also the toys, games and memorabilia from another era. The staff are friendly and enjoying talking to everyone about the exhibits, and treat you like one of the family. The Christmas Party, featuring an Elvis impersonator is the absolute best. Would recommend it to anyone, whether they are car enthusiasts for not. We keep going back every few months because it is so much fun!!
What can you say.\This place is just amazing, it is almost a secret, even for locals. An amazing collection of perfectly presented cars.Mainly American, with all sorts of makes and models. Even some movie cars like a Batmobile and Back to the Future Delorean. + a few oddball things. There are some rare vehicles, must be about 100 cars??..all presented in amazing condition. Also a collection of memorabilia and toys and things that is almost too big to take in, along withan authentic 50s? 60? type milk bar.Truly and amazing place. If you are a car nut, or just have an interest in old U.S A ...you cant miss it.Cheap entry too.Recommend it .
We live in California and Classic Car Shows are abundant here. But this museum is absolutely FABULOUS! The cars are beautiful and the memorabilia is amazing. The staff is super friendly and the entire experience memorable. Well worth an afternoon if you love old cars and especially the 50's!!!!!
Beautifully restored classic cars, cleverly curated and presented memorabilia and a fantastic merchandise selection all in one location. There is so much to look at that one visit really doesn't do it justice and I'm looking forward to spending another day there soon. We're looking forward to taking friends here when they visit Newcastle. Definitely $15 well spent.
WOW what a place. Its not all about cars. Elvis, Marilyn, Hollywood, Happy Days, dancing, its got it all. The most amazing display of motor cars. Where else in the Southern Hemisphere can you see the original Bat Mobile? 50's memorabilia of amazing proportions. Its a family day out for a fraction of the cost some places charge. Simply Sensational I say. Well done Glen, Kelly and family.

Really enjoyed going back to the 50,s and old memorys of my childhood. Never seen so many great cars and exhibits, the friendly staff and owners really looked after us during our visit. Have been back again to see new arrivals and gets better each time. Plenty of undercover area for dancing and music, car displays and picnics, Heaven on Earth.
There is nothing but glowing reports on this Magical Lostinthe50s American Car Museum, from the out side aeria, which is filled with amazing Visitor Cars on each and every Open Day, which is once only a month. This Priviately owned Museum is absolutely the place to visit, you are taken to an erra of 50's and 60s, from the Entrance to the Gallery, of 70 odd cars on display, there is something for everyone, not just Dad, but Mum, and the Kids, both Big and small. It is a treat to watch the faces of the Guests as they enter the foyer, which is filled with amazing Memorabilia, it is on Cabinets, to the walls, not much space is left vacant. then out to the right is the what I can the Specialty Room, Hot Rods, Batmobiles, bat bikes, collectible bikes, Delorian, Buicks, Auburn, Golf Carts, that resemble Cars, and so much more, again the walls are full. Next is the upstairs to the right.. where more treats await, more surprises as you walk out to the messaniene floor full of course.. , back down stairs, to the left you go through a big room that is just mind blowing with what it holds for all to admire, all in pristine condition. then through more doors to the Cars again. these are part of Americas past, our past, bring so many memories to all that see them. The Chrome, the glamour, the polish, the wonder of each and every car, that all have stories to tell, and Glen and Kelly the owners can tell you each Cars history, story and more. But Wait there is more, there is Caravans, Models, A woody or two, another flight of stairs that take you up to another floor , the stairs are lined with old Oil Cans etc.. once up the stairs you come to the Gift shop, yes, you can take home Tee Shirts, model cars that are boxed, post cards, tin signs, and much more as something to remind you of your visit.. so much to see. always , as out in the Forecourt, is DJ Vinnie, playing his ever constant 50 - 60 music. and there is a Dance Floor under cover, so that you too can relive your past, have a dance or two, or just sit at the tables and chairs, while enjoying a Hot Dog, or two or Three, by the Caterers, there is even a Cable Car to sit in .. signs all round.. entertainment plus. I have been there many times, and each time, I find cars and stuff, I had not seen before.. it is top prioity.. see the web site for when the next open day is..www.lostinthe50s.com.au. . O CALL 4955 2445 OR EMAIL Glen@lostinthe50s.com.au Glen will say to you, go in and have a look, then come out and have a drink and something to eat, etc. then go in again.. you will see more.. and he is right. :-)
