Was there for Australia Day again. Loved Bushwackers, who were playing at the time, they really got the crowd moving. Not many stalls there this year. Could have something to do with wet weather. Variety Playground is very popular with a cafe between the two parks. Plenty of toilets. Shared walkway and public wharf, for those who access the park from Lake Macquarie.

Often drive from newcastle to spend a day at this park with the nephews. Brilliant for all ages. Cafe for lunch if you don't pack it. Food is average but prices don't disappoint and it's very convenient. Kids love the giant slide and it's all very safe. Should be one every 20ks! Happy parents everywhere!

This must be one of the best children's park In the world. My grand children never tire of going there. There are also great walks and picnic areas along the lake. There is a water center In the park and plenty of car parking. A cafe which serves good food but the service is a trifle slow. The whole area is very well maintained.

My three kids loved this park. The slide and the bike track were their favourites but the water play area was pretty popular too. We travelled over an hour from the central coast just to visit this park and it was well worth it. Only wish we had something like it on the coast! After a morning in the park we visited the local pool across the road. A great way to cool down and relax. Then it was was back to the park to utilise the bike track. Free parking, cafe on site, lots of places to sit back and watch the kids or plenty of opportunities to join in. The choice is yours!Just remember to take the sunscreen and mozzie spray. And pack your cozzie for a dip in the local pool on a really hot day!

Wow what a great playground. You could spend all day here on the flying foxes, massive slides, endless mazes and water play areas, and the enclosed kiddy bike track. One of Australia's best playgrounds!

I had an awesome afternoon with my family at Speers Point Park. Entry is free, and parking is free. There are different areas to the park, catering for (mainly) primary-school aged children. You need to supervise your kids, as it is large enough that they can get lost. There is a disability swing. There are public toilets nearby, but you have to walk a few minutes to get to them.

Love going here with the grandchildren when we visit in Newcastle . The park is huge, completely fenced and full of imaginative and cleverly designed play equipment, including special swings for children confined to wheelchairs. The climbing tower which looks terrifyingly high, is designed so that the climb to the top is all inside and on a series of smaller levels. But not too small that Mum or Dad can't climb up with the little ones. Then an exciting ride down the spiral slide. The bike /scooter track works well for all ages and abilities. There are a few sandpits, a wet play area and the best flying fox, fast, exciting and the trajectory is completely over a safe, sandy landing area. Plenty of covered picnic tables, fresh water bubblers, and a cafe for coffee and ice creams. With parking at the front and back entry gates, we have not had a problem getting a park, even on a busy weekend. Did I mention I love this park?

wish I had this kind of park growing up. Really big with lots of pay equipment. massive slide and flying fox will keep the kids entertained all day. enclosed by gates so they cant run away which is good! plenty of places to sit while the kids run around. is bike and scooter friendly with a specific area for it. nice to know dogs aren't allowed. located right by the lake. perfect for a picnic or birthday party and best of all it's free! love coming here!

This park is well maintained and provides a large green space for walkers, children's play areas, dogs, etc. Public toilets are available, as well as a coffee shop.

What a gem. Great park for kids of all ages. Dedicated Bike/scooter tracks with speed humps, hills, a gas refuelling station and much more. There is the biggest slippery dip I have ever seen, a great flying fox and much more. You can spend hours here. There is a café where parents can grab a coffee, and lots of picnic areas. Highly recommend a trip with the kids or grandkids. :)

My children have never seen a place like this. Everything for kids! BBQ facilities available. Bring your bike or skateboard. Lots of space to ride. Shady picnic spots.

We travelled 2 hours up to the park and he kids were excited with anticipation.Upon arrival, the place was packed and I thought we were never going to find a parking spot.We were pleasantly surprised to find ample parking and the park was just amazing. It handled the sheer number of people so well with fencing all around so the kids could not run out. With younger ones, you definitely need to keep an eye out at all times as they could easily get lost in such a large park.It had everything - usual swings to mini maze, kids road sign bike track, sand pits, flying foxes, wet play area, and of course that monstrous construction of a slide. The place even had a cafe!!The slide was definitely the highlight for us as well as the flying fox.Apart from that, we did a 2 hour bike ride around beautiful north Lake Macquarie and even though my son was not the most experienced cyclist, he had the best time since the trail was very easy and had plenty of nice scenic spots to stop for a drink. It was a fantastic day and would love to come back for a few days just to ride around some more and do a spot of fishing.Accommodation is available all around North Lake Macquarie. Do yourself and the kids a favour and take them to this wonderful park. It is fun for everyone.
