cocoparra national park

One of the only high features visible from Griffith (apart from 'the hill') is Cocaparra. The national park is located less than half an hours drive from town.It consists of camp grounds, a lookout, numerous walking tracks and a water fall (weather or lack of it permitting).Winter is a great time to explore the park and its many walks. During the summer months this might be best left to the wildlife.The campground has a covered shelter and some bbqs, located near the toilets. The campground is quite flat and easily accessible except after heavy rain.The lookout is great. You have uninterrupted views to the north and south and you can walk along the ridgeline and experience the natural surrounds. Good walking shoes are recommended.
