bidgee riverside trail

Nicely designed and laid out trail along the river with plenty of spots for a picnic and some interesting sculptures thrown in. We had a lovely lunch here

This is a lovely little walk that follows the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at Hay. There are a number of sculptures scattered along the walk and these tie in with history of the area and that is detailed in the information plaques erected near each one.I did this walk in the early evening when the temperature had dropped a little. It seems to be a popular dog walking track as well. Depending on how long you stop at each sculpture and if you rest along the way it may take about an hour.There are picnic tables scattered too so a good place for some take away while watching the sunset over the bridge - just remember to take your rubbish with you :)This walk is also part of a larger walking trail throughout the town and you can grab a map from one of the motor inns or from the information centre
