eden road wines

Travelling from Sydney to Canberra presents you with a large number of vineyards to choose from. After visiting a number of vineyards today my wife and I both agreed that Eden Road Winery was a must stop destination for anyone wanting a high quality wine at a very reasonable price. The abundance of varieties and friendliness of staff placed this vineyard as a must return location for us. To anyone selective on time or trying just one vineyard I Highly recommend the short drive from Canberra.

Try not to drive when attending this cellar door, the wine tastings are generous to say the least (don't worry, they do have a spittoon if you are unlucky like me). I think we got through eight tastings.Eden Road produce a number of excellent red and white wines, including reisling, chardonnay, pinot noir, and shiraz. A few award winners and silver medalists here.The region is cool climate and a lot of their produce has a distinctly European taste to it. Their unoaked chardonnay (2012 Courabyra) is reminiscent of those from Chablis.The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and generous with both their time and their wine. Well worth a visit.

Amazing winery located in the heart of the cool climate Canberra Wine District. Brilliant knowledgeable staff, world class Chardonnay and Shiraz. Previous winners of the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, need I say more?
