norah head lighthouse

Norah Head lighthouse is such a lovely sight. You can do a tour on the weekend and there is a lovely track that starts next to the cafe at the top of the stairs at the rockpool. It loops through the bush to the lighthouse, down onto the beach and back up past the rockpool.

Have to visit the lighthouse when you are in or around town. Lovely spot and close to lots of things to do including the beach below and lovely vistas. A few chairs have been placed recently to enable the classic selfie and a light house snap with the loved one, or to just watch the world go by. The wedding on the grounds was a bonus. Very public space to be married and the bride was beautiful of course. Could do with public access toilets. That's my elusive last star..

Volunteers very knowledgeable but even without them there is handy parking, a great nearby casual restaurant for breakfast after a walks through the bush tra ck or along the beach when the tide is out. Numerous rock pools to explore below the lighthouse Great for kids, well grandkids for us,. Visit at least once! And a great spot for whale watching in season

Stopped here and it was worth it for the ambience and views. Have to write 50 characters....make sure you stop!

Visited for an hour or so, wandered around the grounds and the beach nearby. Good parking nearby, very close to the lighthouse. Great to see the lighthouse working during a short storm.

My wife & I went on a day trip to the Norah Head Lighthouse. For a small charge of $6 for each adult, you go on a guided tour with a volunteer tour guide to inform you of the history of the lighthouse. Don't forget to take your cameras, you will get some great shots. The both of us thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

I went there a couple of weeks ago and was interested to see if there were any whales going past - but there were none, so I just sat on a bench and immersed myself in the lovely sunshine and the atmosphere of the ocean. It wasn't very crowded and it was very peaceful.

Beautiful view along the coast. Can be a bit cold & windy, but worth it to see the view. Not much in the way of parking, although avoid the weekends and usually a car park is available

Great view and nice spot to go for a walk around. It's a shame there wasn't a tour of the lighthouse when we were there. That would've been interesting! The place seems to attract plenty of visitors. A couple of weeks prior, I emailed to inquire about accommodation and tours, but unfortunately didn't get a reply.

Took the younger two (7&9) up on a lovely sunny day. Guide was knowledgable and patient gave the kids plenty of time answering their questions. Great view up the top making the assent worth it. Then had a walk around the beach and rocks making a great afternoon.

You can stay in the houses , near to beaches , great bush walks along the coast and some coastal restaurants in Norah Head itself just up the road also the beach cafe gets a fair bit of custom

My wife and I hired a tandem bike from Rockpool Retreat and rode the 1 km up to the lighthouse top watch the whales in action.

This is a beautiful spot to have a walk around and take some photos. The lighthouse is an easy walk from the carpark and if you're feeling more adventurous you can walk down the stairs at the end of the path and onto the beach. A great spot for a nice walk with beautiful scenery.

Beautiful spot in Australia.great cottage to stay with friends.we had the best breakie on the verandah.sun was awesome.....great photo spot.volunteers at lighthouse very helpful,best view at the top.saw whales cruising past.you must get up for the sunrise not to be missed...great walk to rockpool,up the hill great coffee.enjoy we did....best place to take your family for weekend.
