This gallery is located in the "Articles Gallery" space in a small tourism precinct on the coast road between Sydney and Wollongong. We stopped for refreshments and discovered this wonderful gallery currently showing paintings by well known local artist, elegant and delicate glass ware created by a famous South Coast craftsman, and display cases brimming with jewellery created, again, by local talent. I just didn't know where to look first. This place showcases important collections of local artists, not tourist fripfrappery. Collectors come here to buy serious works. The paintings I saw started at $500.00. Some of the jewellery created by local artists was just exquisite. I wanted to buy all of it. So, if you are travelling and passing through Stanwell Park, which is about 20 minutes north of Wollongong, stop off for a coffee at the Palms Coffee shop and just take a look at this wonderful gallery. You may find something that you will treasure for ever.
