Visited the garden, not so big and in the middle of residential area. But if you just sit and watch or feed the carps and you will enjoy it! The view of the man-made lake is very beautiful with wild birds having a swim or just chilling on the rocks. They have a variety of plants and if you love nature and a touch of Japan, then visit this place. Its FREE!
Amazing layout with both plants, trees and sculptures, each has an outline description of the plant in the brochure available on entry. A great variety of both imported and indigenous plants withgreat water features, waterfalls and the kids love the fish in the lake and streams. While there be sure to check out Sensory Gardens with lovely wander through and over the bridges also one of the best and largest sculptures of a barking gecko lizard
Must say like some of the other people who have been, it is not very well sign posted its in a middle of a house and shopping estate. When you do find it its beautiful little garden lots of plants and amazing fish. The grounds person was a lovely older man who was very happy to help with questions, and gave my two girls feed for the fish who were delighted. Lovely walk around on a hot day. We loved so much we are going back tomorrow! Note it's only open to 4pm and its free to go in!
Couldn't find this place at first as it is not well sign posted and down a dirt road. Well worth the visit when we found it. Greeted at the gate by a guy that have us an overview of the property before we walked the area by ourselves. Very nice, relaxing and well maintained. Highlight for most people, especially children, is the feeding of all the fish, and ducks, in the pond. Only took an hour to look at everything. Well worth a visit. And don't forget to drop some coins in the donation box!
Spectacular in Spring, with beautiful flowering cherries and the peaceful waterfalls that ripple into the large carp pond, this is one of Dubbo's most beautiful gardens. A leisurely stroll, during all seasons, will reward you as you wind your way across bridges, beside sculptured trees and shrubs and through the perfumed garden.
Even if your not a gardener, anyone can appreciate a beautiful garden. This garden I thought was outstanding and I recommend it to visitors to Dubbo all the time. It would be a great place for a picnic, or just to sit and enjoy the tranquiity. Plus its evolving all the time. U can also feed the carp and ducks. I reckon kids would love it.
Beautiful well kept gardens and ponds. Photographers paradise.Did not see anyone else the day we visited.Had a bit of trouble finding the entry and not sure where to park.
Japanese garden with plenty of flowers and ponds, nice for a short walk round. The ponds were full of koi carp and many ducks so good for kids as well.
We visited the gardens after a morning at the zoo. It is such a pleasant place to just take a stroll and sit under the shady trees and watch the koi and ducks. The gardens are easy to find, just follow the signs leading out of town, its only a 5min drive. Be aware the carpark isn't sealed so it does get a bit muddy after rain.Well done to the creators for the effort they have put into the construction and maintenance of this garden. It is very authentic! Be sure to leave a donation on your way out, I was told it helps the upkeep of the gardens. If you found this review helpful please click the yes button below. Loved this place, staff were really nice and friendly, the grounds were so serene and peaceful, wished it was bigger in size though
the gardens were separated into little sections into themes, the parking is a little tricky to work out because there is no designated parking area.
Gorgeous gardens, we qould have spent longer there if it hadn't been so hot. The security guard was very informatative and freindly when we arrived too. I would like to come back in spring.
Beautiful work from a local interest group and an exchange group from japan.not often seen in such detail
The ponds with the koi fishes and mandarin ducks makes a picturesque view. So calming and therapeutic. The garden isn't big but good enough for a hot summer's day.
Surprising this attraction is FREE. The gardens are gorgeous and definitely worth a visit and only 5 minutes from town.
