Thanks for your review. Sorry it was not your cup of tea. I am pretty sure you are the guy who asked for a discount because you thought your bike was too slow, even though you did manage to keep up with the rest of the group. By writing a bad review has not hurt our reputation. As you can see by the hundreds of good reviews we have had, the majority of people who do our tour absolutely love it. As for the training track, this is a must as most people have not ridden a motor scooter before. We can not let inexperienced riders out on the road. The more experienced riders are the ones who have to wait till everyone is ready to ride, but understand the safety aspect. Oh, and by the way, yes the tattoos are stick ons but we cant really give people real ones can we.

You have to give it a go! I was scared at first having never been on a bike and I ended up doing it the following day as well! I was made to feel so comfortable and safe! All the people are so friendly and they really do go out of their way to make you have an amazing experience! I rode one day & went on the back of a bike (koala) the next day and they were both so fun! However it's always going to be cool to say you've ridden when you haven't before! Kangaroos jumping along side the road when we were all riding down it, got some brilliant pictures and ends with the best potato wedges and watching the sun set before riding back! Definitely worth the money!

This trip is an awesome time for the money, the staff were helpful and understanding for people that hadn't ridden before, so if you haven't ridden don't worry you get a practice track before you go out on the road, they have some good jokes there, especially the with the highway the hell song part (people who have done this know what im on about), free tattoos before you go out to get you looking like a top biker ;), my tour actually lasted around 4 hours, you get a good half hour stop off in Agnes to look at the sunset and enjoy some potato wedges (take $5 you will want some), plenty of ride time in, don't need a bike license, its cheap, best fun to be had in agnes ive found, also great camera shots, which are free on facebook, 100% do it good job guys

Down the years on several trips to Oz I've always come back for this trip.Riding a scooter in the middle of no where with the sun going down is simply amazing. Great instructors every time I've been.Love it!

Brilliant, had a great time. Staff were patient and made sure you understood exactly how to ride there bikes. Also they made sure we were safe on the road. Can't recommend this adventure highly enough.

Would like to point out these facts to anyone who reads this. The tour was booked and paid for into the previous owners account. We, the new owners made every effort to get the refund from the previous owners which was very time consuming. I don't think that a charge of $7.00 each was much to ask considering the hours spent to organize this. Especially when we do not even have the surf and ride package any more.

Had the best afternoon so far in Australia. Matt (Lead guide) did a fantastic job making sure everyone could handle their bikes properly before anybody was let out on the road. They made me stay on the test track until i could comfortably stop the bike. A good thing since i was nervous as hell at first.Once we're on the road other guides like Liam would pace up and down the convoy of bikes to check if all was okay. The tour last about 3hrs with the sun setting in the horizon. Photos of the tour can be viewed on their Facebook page. Thanks Jacqui for taken all the superb photos in the day.So make sure Scooteroos be on your "to do list" when visiting Australia. Best tour so far!

We booked this tour directly on the company website and included the surf lesson in the package too. We were so excited for it, it is the only reason we included agnes water in our trip and had to stay for 2 nights to be able to fit it in. We did the surf lesson in the morning which was great and then had the tour planned in the afternoon. We were sat in reception at Southern cross backpackers waiting to be picked up for the tour. As time went by it got late so we asked reception who informed us that it had been cancelled, we had no knowledge of this. We called the company and they confirmed that it was cancelled but nobody had called us to let us know. We weren't even on their manifest even though we had booked and paid directly on their website. We were utterly disappointed we could not do the tour. We asked for a refund of the money we paid, when we were then told that they were new owners of the company and could not give us a refund, they would need to contact the old owners. We left our confirmation paperwork with the hostel reception as the lady from the company was going to pick it up. There was numerous back and forth contact with regards to the refund and it took a few weeks for this to be auctioned. When we finally got the refund it was $14 short on what we had paid, so I asked for the full amount to be returned to us....at which point the woman from the company said I was lucky that i was not being charged an admin fee.....an admin fee for what?! You cancelled the tour for no reason and won't give me MY money that you owe me. I was also told I was 'squabbling' over $14....very professional. I still haven't received the money. Disgusting service from a terrible unprofession company.

We recently did the Scooteroo tour and it is easy to see why it was voted in the top 5 tours to do on the east coast. From the moment you arrive they put you at ease about riding a chopper. Before you head out on the roads of 1770, they have a test track for you to get use to riding a bike. The tour itself is excellently organised and they ensure you are safe at all times out on the roads. We saw some Kangaroos in the hills of 1770. They also take photos of you and upload them for free to their facebook page which is a nice bonus. Well worth doing for a reasonable price too!

Myself and 4 girlfriends went on the scooteroo tour last week and was by far the best attraction we've been too on our east coast tour!2 of the girls only had provisional licenses and were worried they couldn't join in but it was absolutely fine! From getting stick on tattoos which was hilarious to our leather jackets we really felt the part. The staff were so friendly, i couldn't manage the bike myself so i got to be a "koala" on the back of a staff member and they made sure i didn't feel left out. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, wild kangeroos and the sunset was beautiful! Thank you Scooteroo for such a memorable day!

I had a great evening buzzing around on the scooters. It's a big group so you can't go super fast but it's still really good fun - we saw a few wild roos on the way too. :-)

Scooter Roo takes you on a tour around the back roads of Agnes Waters on 50cc bikes resembling Harley Davidson's. It is based out of 1770 Southern Cross Backpackers, so the vast majority of people doing the tour will be backpackers. Not a bad thing; it's pretty fun watching everyone go nuts every time a kangaroo hops! Before heading out you are given some time to familiarise yourself with the bike. I'm an uncoordinated fellow so initially had trouble, however the staff gave me some advice about where to put my weight which completely solved my issue. You ride for a few hours so the tour is good value. There is an option to stop for potato wedges (5 bucks at time of writing) which is convenient for those staying at the hostel, plus who doesn't like wedges? The only issue I'd raise is with the specifics in the marketing; you will watch the sun set, as opposed to watching a sunset. The sun will not have gone under the horizon before you head back to base. The posters also mentioned watching it set over water; this is technically true but it is worth noting there is still land on the other side. May as well be watching it set over a lake or river.Overall it was a fun afternoon, do recommend.

Absolutely loved this day out, totally worth the $75 it cost us. My boyfriend had his own bike which was his first time riding a bike and really enjoyed the whole day. I weren't so confident on the bike so ended up on the back of one of the instructors bikes but he made it fun and enjoyable for me so didn't feel like I missed out with not having my own bike! I love how they give you leather jackets and tats to complete the look and don't try and get any more money out of you as all the photos they take on the day are available on Facebook the following day. Definitely one of the best tours to arrange whilst your in Agnes water.
