Located near the scenic and exquisite Mossman national park Janbal Gallery invites visitors from all walks of life to come in and learn about local aboriginal culture in a relaxed and casual environment. Binna, the local artist even sat down with the younger kids in our group and gave them personal art lessons, providing an unforgettable experience for all involved. A MUST DO!

The gallery is located in the rainforest not far from Mossman Gorge. Be taken on a journey and be connect with the lives, culture and believes of the Kuku Yalanji people. The experience is amazing and the artwork is absolutely beautiful, each has their own story told by the artist Binna - The Local Legend! Binna has so much talent and a great sense of humor it makes the day unforgettable. I highly recommend a visit and a art class, you wont regret it!

What a wonderful place! Binna was so lovely, he told us stories about living in the area while he taught us how to do aboriginal paintings. My favourite thing about traveling is getting to meet the locals and Binna is definitely one local I wont forget! The gallery itself is fantastic and also a great place to buy unique souvenirs and gifts straight from the locals who made them. Definitely a highlight of my trip to Queensland!

We booked my daughter in for an art lesson with Binna and she absolutely loved the class. Binna is a wonderful man with so many fantastic stories. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed painting a boomerang and it ended up being one of her favourite experiences in Queensland.
