cowboy up trail riding

My partner and I went on a 2 hour trail ride on their beautiful horses Jackson and Jade. We went up and down hills, trotted and cantered across paddocks. Peter and Gill were excellent teachers and put us at ease as we had very limited horse riding experience. Gill even had a home made cake ready for our return! Peter and Gill are lovely people and it shows through their care of their animals. Definitely worth a ride!!

I booked a ride as a birthday present for my fiancé David and I went along for the ride(!!) too. We totally loved it and cannot recommend this highly enough, such a great experience. We have both 'ridden' before ( 20 years ago -ish) and I was a bit wary ( scared). Peter put me at ease and was so professional, caring and just so nice that we were both quickly at ease - I even trotted!! David cantered!! Hallo to Jade and Estee who were so good and such professionals ( they were our beautiful horses who looked after us so well). The scenery is amazing, we saw a family of kangaroos, had a great lunch, met some lovely people and really enjoyed ourselves. Don't hesitate to book, you'll love it.

I went on a two hour trail and had a brilliant time! Though I was a total beginner I learned a lot. The area is beautiful, the horses were brilliantly cared for and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Definitely worth a visit!!

Jill and Peter run an impeccably clean stable filled with well looked after horses. Was matched with Sugar, a horse great for beginners like myself. Jill and Peter gave great instructions for beginners and we were able to trot and canter by the end of our ride. Would highly recommend for a riding experience like you were visiting a family friend's property filled with great conpany, horses and views.

My husband gave me a Muster experience for my birthday, something that had been on my bucket list for many years. I cannot say enough about the wonderful time I had from the moment I got to the property..Owners Peter and Gill are very welcoming and very organised. Whether you can ride or not they put you at ease. The horses were beautiful and so good to ride. My horse's name was Jackson and he was so amazing, he made my day. Gill put together a lunch as well as home made brownies which was very yummy and after a morning of riding was much appreciated. Peter's experience and expertise with horses and riding made my experience so relaxed and one I will never ever forget. I want a Muster at Cowboy Up Trail Riding every year for my birthday. I enjoyed my first 1 hr ride at Cowboy Up that myself, along with others, decided to do the 4 hour muster. I must say none of us were disappointed.Peter and Gill certainly made all of us (non riders included) feel as though we wern't just paying customers, but welcome visitors to their property.The horses I must say are as presented and definitely matched for individual experience. Having horses of my own, their instruction to beginners was spot on and made all feel very comfortable - they really are horsemen. The western saddles are also SUPER comfortable.The lunch (plenty of it and included in the price) was of excellent quality and enjoyed by all.All of our group had great things to say about the experience and would do it again in a heartbeat.Well done Cowboy Up - this is not just a plod, for those who are beginners, you will REALLY learn something and for those with more experience - Enjoy.We will be back.

Wow... Cowboy up horse riding was the best... The people n horses were just amazing, it was fun exciting and they just made you feel very comfortable. It didn't matter if we didn't have any riding experience they made u feel safe and very welcoming. It was just the best thing do to and it should be on everyone buck list to do a horse trail ride at cowboy up. Highly recommend it, I surely will be going back again...

I can not tell you enough about how lovely my half day ride with Cowboy Up Trail Riding was. I was a beginner rider, and the wonderful owners Gillian and Peter went through everything with me that I needed to know about how I was to ride and what to expect from the day. We rode for a few hours before stopping for a beautiful hearty lunch made by Gillian, under the shade of the old Emu Creek Hall. Post lunch was a great ride home with some cantering and trotting and good chats with the others in the group.The sun came out and the horses provided the group with a bit of entertainment-mostly when my horse PJ decided he wanted to turn around home 5 minutes after we left! Beautiful horses, beautiful property and overall a really wonderful day. Gillian and Peter are absolutely wonderful, so helpful and all round great kind people. I highly recommend a half day ride if you are keen on getting a good dose of riding in as well as taking in the beautiful scenery of the countryside.
