Thank you Leo - much appreciated. Enjoyed sharing our little bit of SW Qld with you.
The mud bath in Eulo was a really unique experience and probably the most relaxing part of my tour through Queensland's outback. Watching the movie about the Artesian Basin at the Cunnamulla Fella Visitor Centre helped me to understand that natural phenomenon and the true value of it. Nan and Ian did a great job with creating this lovely outdoor place. It was really nice to watch the sunset while soaking in the warm artesian water. As the mud is supposed to revitalize your skin and body and makes you at least 20 years younger I returned happily as a two year old girl without any wrinkles.
One of the highlights in our 7 week trip. Beautiful place, welcoming family with that touch of professionalism. We sat, as a couple, in the same long long bath...and were delighted by the originality of the place: outdoors surrounded by the bush, a fireplace waiting for us at the end of the bath. It is a bit remote but it is worth a few more kilometers. Thank you and we wish you many visitors.
After two months out west, dried out and dusty and in need of some serious pampering, we more or less stumbled across this little oasis of pleasure. We set up camp by the Paroo River and headed into Eulo and Palm Grove for a warm welcome from Nan, hot hot baths under a brilliant blue sky, yummy nibbles and a much appreciated glass of Sauv Blanc. The mud is smooth and creamy and so was our skin after much soaking, lying in the sun drying off the mud and then soaking in the bath again. Nan's range of moisturisers are rich and luscious and very well priced. The cost of the mud bath was $60 each and worth every cent.
Nan welcomed us onto her property to experience the Artesian Mud Baths. We had pre-booked and she had our hot baths ready. There were three of us and we had a secluded area with three separate baths. The baths were beautiful and warm and mud ensures you leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. After about half an hour of soaking, Nan brought in some snacks and wine....handy wooden shelves designed to go over the bath were perfect! After snacks, a mud mask is available for you to lather on and rinse off under the shower. The perfect finish!Afterwards, a change room and toilet for you to utilise and a gift shop selling various items from their Date Farm and from the springs. Nan was perfectly delightful and gave us a certificate to note the occasion.I would highly recommend this experience. Was a great morning with friends. I would most definitely return :)
After travelling 900 kilometres to experience a mud bath and taste the sticky date liqueur, we three young at heart mature aged ladies were treated like royalty by Nan the owner. We soaked in the hot mineral artesian water impreginated with milky clay found in that area. Nan served us wine and nibblies while we relaxed and then we applied our mineral mud pack. After the clay dried we showered and used a cosmetic date moisturiser supplied as a finishing touch. Next we sampled the various products such as dried figs, pastes and wines. The sticky date liqueur is devine - we'll be back for more. We enjoyed this unique experience and had lots of laughs and will have great memories of visitng Nan and Ian Pike.
