We loved seeing the Dolphins. The ladies were very informative and it was nice watching how much the Dolphins trusted them.

Great to see the dolphins. They are so tame even though they are not in captivity. Hope they keep coming back.

This experience is a must do but don't expect a 'pat the wild mammal' situation. The Dolphins come first, as it should be; human safety comes next. Arrive early and wait in the water as they arrive; they come to you - or not, pat them and you violate their respact and everyone present pays as the dolphins will move into deeper water.Follow the instructions provided by the volunteers for a beautiful, up close & personal experience. For an extra $5 you can feed one a fish and experience first hand their incredibly gentle nature. This is all overseen by the regulatory authority for the benefit of all. A 5* experience!

This is a unique experience with Humpback Dolphins who live in the estuaries around Tin Can Bay... You will see at least 4 dolphins. On the day we also had a baby with its mother. The owners of the attraction are extremely careful with the health and safety of the dolphins and efforts are made with the quantity of fish to ensure they the dolphins do not become dependent on the hand fed fish.Great experience for family and children .Try the great breakfast at the cafe next to the dolphins...

We came up from Brisbane to do this, stayed overnight to be early as they said spots were limited. The Dolphins were estuary ones ranging from a baby to an alpha male. Looked very promising but after waiting for 30 minutes, they gave us one tiny fish and hustled us through like production process. No happy.

The hint was to get there early, which we did. Great place to relax and wait for opening time. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a busker there to keep us entertained while the Dolphins arrived. Plenty of space to feed them and a great experience. Well worth the minimal cost of entry and fish food.

Feeding starts at 8. But the dolphins come in before 7. At 7 they open it up and you can stand knee deep in the water and watch them play and the volunteers will share experiences and stories about the dolphins.

If you've never get close to a wild dolphin this is a nice and very cheap experience. But be there early because there's a lot of people, and you'll certainly be disappointed with the quickness of the feeding.And keep in mind that dolphins which are fed learn to beg and lose their fear of humans. http://www.dontfeedwilddolphins.org

Fantastic experience, the dolphins where amazing! The volunteers where full of knowledge and passionate about the dolphins and could obviously be felt by the amazing wild creatures, as they keep coming back! Great family early morning outing for all ages and very affordable. Just remember to keep your hand over your fish bucket, as there are birds watching everywhere and not frightened to come and take your dolphin food!

Amazing to be able to hand feed WILD dolphins for only $10!. $5 only if you want to stand in the water with them. I do not know what the other reviewers complain about, $5-10 is cheap!! Any captive dolphin experience costs many times more and you are only encouraging the dirty secret in Taiji.Make sure you get there by 7am to get a feeding ticket. The dolphins come out at 7 am and get fed at 8 am, so plenty of time to view and observe. We had 2 come out at 7 and another 2 at 8 am. We had breakfast at the cafe afterwards, it is pretty run down, but that is not why we went there...

We went early 6.30am with our 2 year old thinking we would be in and out early to feed the Dolphins. That's not quite what happens. You stand behind a fence like sheep in the hot sun and then the crowds stampede into the tiny enclosed raised area of the restaurant to listen to the history of those Dolphins that have come in for a feed at around 8am. When you have stood for nearly 2 hours you get a little bucket with one tiny fish to the get into the water and feed a dolphin. Is it worth it, NO! Would I recommend it, only if you want to see a dolphin or two....

From what we read on the brochure to what actually happens are two different things. The area where you get to feed the dolphins is extremely small, and the river bed is quite murky. My husband explained it perfectly, it is a production line. You get in the water, you are allocated a dolphin, you feed the dolphin take your photo and then you must exit the water. It is not a positive experience, I have had many more positve experiences with sea life in their natural environments. I do not recommend this outing, unless you book with the eco tours as we did and then went 4WD on the beach. Now that was an experience!!!

A few people grumbled about the price and the "rules" but we had no issue with anything. The rules are in place to protect the dolphins and comply with regulations. The volunteers were friendly, chatty, helpful and very willing to share what they knew about the dolphins. There was ample opportunity to view the dolphins, get in the water with them, and even touch passively them (if they approached). There were around 100 visitors the morning we went, but there was no rush - everyone got time to feed the dolphins, and to take photographs doing so. There is no charge for someone to come down into the water to photograph your experience :) Watch out for the cheeky cormorants - keep your feed bucket covered and follow the simple instructions. A fun morning.

We went to feed the Dolphins with friends. The whole set up seem to be a way for the person who owns the small piece of water front where the Dolphins come in to earn money and exploit tourists. I would love to know what happens to the thousands of dollars they make each day from capitalizing on whilst not paying even the volunteers a cent a wild animal as I bet it doesn't go into conservation or the local tourist association. I was disgusted to see that in a public car park, the owner of the place (female) has had her own car park blocked off! I refused to pay $5 to see a Dolphin when you can go along the beach and see them for free and also to pay $10 to feed one! If the owner would like to come clean, stop exploiting the one off opportunity and let me know where the money goes I may change my opinion but otherwise I would avoid this like the plague if I was you!Stand there and watch the owner scurry along, taking cash and squirreling it away inside, i wonder if the tax department is on to this little scam
