Very friendly staff, great food, older style clean rooms with adequate separate facilities for the double, breakfast requirements provided, excellent location with a beautiful bushwalking track nearby to the Mena Creek Falls. Not luxurious ,but very pleasant budget accommodation. Really friendly locals with a huge oudoor verandah and beer garden.Would highly recommend as you can then use your Paronella Day Pass to visit both in the daytime and at night.
We visited after a trip to the nearby Paronella Park.Nice country pub with a bistro open from midday till 8 pm.Be warned though! We bought hamburgers that were huge!!!1 burger was enough for 2 people!
After visiting Paronella Park we went here for dinner, great place sitting out the front on the verandah. Good food.
This is a great old pub, we had dinner outside on the deck that runs the length of the building, friendly, helpful staff.
there's not a lot in Mena Creek besides Paronella Park, the falls, a school and a few cows.....except the pub. It is a beautiful location, a lovely old pub, a little tired in spots, but that adds to the charm, and dining on the front verandah, which is a lovely quite place to dine in the cool of the evening. Friendly staff and great food at reasonable prices. our only downside? no chocolate on the dessert menu, but the do a great steak :)
Had a meal here when we stayed at Paronella Park last week. The staff were pretty efficient, very friendly. The pub is a bit run down, could use a renovation but it is definately quaint. The drinks & meals were reasonably priced. We had the crumbed fish which was so fresh and really good, hubby had a chicken & mango salad which he said was great also. Great food for sure.
Loved the atmosphere and workers very friendly and great food, prices were quite good too, would definitely recommend
Pub looks like it would cater for many diners inside and out. On Sunday night it was outside only but even though it was cool, it was fine on outside veranda-covered tables. Menu is very meat-centric which must suit most. I went the only vego option - a marinated pumpkin salad which looked the part but was a little bland. Service was prompt, wine list limited but Asahi beer on tap a bonus.
Very tasty and if you are visiting Paronella Park it is within easy walking distance. Try the garlic bread and aioli ..yumm
Food was good & staff were great. 20 years ago there was history in the pub about the surrounds but now it is like every other pub with current sports memorabilia but it's a good pub but could be so much more. In the absence of competition I'd be back.
The friendly service and comfortable surroundings make this a great place to spend a couple of hours after visiting Paronella Park. I even bought a shirt. Careful crossing the suspension bridge after a few drinks though.
