coral sea cruises

I have been on a couple of reef trips in Cairns and the Whitsundays. I have to say this was the best trip I have ever been on. The boat only takes 30 people max so we had a great day where the crew really focused on us - answering our questions etc. The guides were fantastic. They told us about the history of the area as we cruised out and then took us on guided snorkel tours free of charge. Alistair and Dennis's knowledge of the reef is truly amazing! The food was awesome. We couldn't ask for anything more. Definitely encourage this one!

A fantastic family day out to the Great Barrier Reef from Mission Beach. Only 30 guests maximum and the only boat at Beaver Cay so was good to enjoy this magical day out in a small group without the crowds. The snorkelling was wonderful and the huge variety of coral and marine life were great to see. Especially loved when the crew jumped in the water and took us for a snorkel showing us everything from giant clams and sea slugs to crayfish and even a scorpion fish. Pool noodles were provided for younger kids and those wanting a bit of support in the water, and having the sand cay to relax or play on was an added bonus. Would love to go again and definitely recommend. Take an underwater camera, there's great photos to be taken!
