skydive mission beach

In my entire life I never thought I'm ever gonna do a skydive. Then one day I just decided to do something crazy and now I don't regret it at all! The crew was really nice, friendly and helpful- and also very calming.. And the experience is outstanding. Even if it's a lot of money, especially for backpackers, it's definitely worth it! Loved that we landed at the beach. The view while flying is amazing too! Just do it!

I am the biggest wimp ever, and one day i decided to do a sky dive over mission beach. I paid for someone to jump out and film me (better than the go pro option) best thing i have ever done in my life. It is an absolute must !!!!! I cried abit before i jumped lol but the guy i was strapped to (cant remember his name) was amazing, really calmed me down and took my mind off me jumping out of a plane at 14,000 feet. its over with before you know it, so make the most of it and remember to breathe and pop your ears. The views are beyond breathtaking and if your having second thoughts of doing this, DO IT !!!! It will be the best thing you ever do believe me. Unless something goes wrong and you die lol

The day started off very wet and windy with high tides so landing on the beach was obviously going to be a problem, after waiting a while for the tide and the weather to sort itself out we got on the go. The view's from the plane were incredible and the dive itself was unbelievable! The only problem with it was the fact that it is very expensive to do the jump for one, then you are $100 minimum for handcam photo's, you can pay up to $230 for photo's and a video, and also a $35 levy fee on top of it all. It is a bit of a rip off but then again definitely worth doing if you have the money. I would highly recommend jumping in mission beach as I've said the view's were incredible!

Despite the weather at the start, all staff kept us fully updated. They even put a movie on for us and best thing, free wifi! The jump was incredible! I had the pleasure of jumping with Dawson. The whole experience was amazing, best thing I have ever done and glad I chose this company to do it with!

I did a sky dive on the 17th of janurary 2015 , the sky dive itself was awesome and a great experience ! i would still recommend mission beach as a great destination for sky diving , however the company itself are extremely unprofessional !! i paid a lot of money for a dedicated video and still have not received my footage. I was told on the day that i would receive my video via email later that evening as there was a fault with the computer at the time , i called the office in mission beach the next morning to see what the hold up was and not only were the staff rude but very unprofessional and unhelpful . This is very disappointing as this could be a great company to sky dive with ! the are quite happy taking your money for the add on's but when theres a problem and your unhappy they couldnt care less , still no video (which was the whole point of doing my skdive) no apology, no refund .. nothing, extremely disappointing !

Me and a group of 10 friends did this skydive while road tripping down the coast of Queensland. None of us have been skydiving before and it was a great first time. You land right on the beach and have awesome views of the ocean and inland as you are diving. The pictures and videos are a little pricey, I now wish I did not buy them.

Both myself and my girlfriend just did a skydive with Skydive Mission Beach. We were dropped off at the office to fill in some forms first and given a bit of a safety brief. We were then introduced to the skydivers who would be jumping out of the plane with us. Brent was the guy who I was doing the tandem with. He was really professional and put you at ease just before you are about to jump out of a plane! I opted to get the video and photos and Brent got some really great photos and the video was brilliant.The plane journey up to the skydive was an experience in itself. Superb views of the beautiful coastline. The skydive was exhilarating! No other feeling out there like jumping out of a plane! It was a brilliant experience, some rush! I felt safe and secure the whole time. We had a soft landing right on Mission Beach. I think there was a bit of a miscommunication about pick up times as our accommodation told us 4 but they thought it was 2 other than that everything went as smooth as can be. I would highly recommend doing this skydive it was a great experience!

A not to be missed experience, and a fantastic company to do it with, all the skydivers where really good and made the whole build up relaxing, and easier to do, that point where your sitting on the edge of the plane, no way would I be able to do it with out the needed push! Had an amazing time, and won't forget it!!Also pick up and drop off where included which is very handy!!

Totally worth every penny. The guys are so friendly and make you feel relaxed, they explain the whole process and when you are in the air you just feel amazing. Everyone should experience this- just do it- one life- live it!

Really glad I chose Mission Beach to complete my first skydive. The people in reception, especially the Irish guy, were particularly nice and more than happy to answer any queries. You can play volleyball and football as well as go to beach whilst you're waiting to be called so you can't get bored!My instructor Steve, was great. I was sat by the door as would be first out and he made me feel extremely calm. Pointing out the reef and where we would land etc. The free fall is crazy but once the parachute opens it's so calm. The views are incredibly beautiful. The reef, beach and sea are stunning. I can't wait to do it again!

I did my my skydive 10/oct/14.Well this was my first time! I liked the fact we got chill outbin the beach before and after our dive this was a great touch!My skydive man was dan and he was great. Really helpful kept me calm. And informed at all times.On our day there was an issue connecting brisbane which means we went up to jump but instead we had a scenic flight and landed. Second time we went uo we jumped. Mission beach is a beautiful place.Its amazing that you can see daintree rainforest, the GBR and sealife whole gliding through some clouds.AmaIng day guys thanks candice

WOW ! the most amazing experience i have had so far in oz ! DO IT ! thats all i have to say you wont regret it, the staff are fun and friendly and you will have total faith in them they are professional but make you feel relaxed and excited .That moment you leave the plane and are freefalling is unbelievable like nothing ive ever experienced and the views are unforgettable i am now well and truely hooked and cant wait to do it again somewhere ! WARNING YOUR PHOTOS WILL HAVE ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS IN TEARS NOBODY CAN LOOK SEXY!

My girlfriend and I booked our sky dive experience in a package deal. We got picked up at 8.30am and brought to the office. We waited for an hour and a half - during this time we filled in paper work and watched a training dvd. The staff in the office were very nice especially Irish (Stephen), who kept singing the song "Jolene" to my girlfriend of the same name!! We met our tandem instructors, both very friendly (Glenn and Dawson). They were very reassuring and fun. They took us on a 20 min journey to the airport and then 20mins in the air before the dive. The dive was incredible, we had a beautiful view. We saw the Great Barrier Reef without a cloud in the sky. We got some great photos and it will be very tough to top this experience in Australia! Thanks again!

Got the shuttle bus from cairns (2hours ish) then got there and checked in and waited 1.5hours til our skydive. I see the terrible reviews on here mainly winge about the time. Honestly did not bother me at all and it was so so worth the wait! They have a great cafe there too the guy is really nice. The instructor s were friendly and laidback. The actually skydive was so magnificent, absolutely beautiful! I got the gopro video and photos option and I think the video is actually way better than paying the extra and getting the guy who jumps separately film you and its cheaper! All in all a great experience.

The sky dive at Mission Beach has got to be one of the most amazing experiences I have ever done in my life! The staff were very friendly and did ease the nerves a little! We were picked up at 7am at our hostel, although we had to wait a couple of hours because the weather wasn't great and had to wait for it to clear before our jump, this could not be helped by the staff though and they put on a dvd for us to watch while waiting.The skydive itself was unbelievable! Its over so quick so make the most of it while you can! I hate heights but all my fear disappeared when I was falling through the sky! The views are incredible! I would definitely do it again if I could!
