Simon's tour of the Carnarvon Gorge was fabulous. The Gorge is beautiful and you can do the walk on your own. But Simon's knowledge of the birds, animals, plants, geology, and prehistory of the area made the walk an exceptional experience. We learned so much and asked hundreds of questions. The tour was $55 per person, and SO worth it. Don't see the Gorge without Simon! You will miss so much. Don't be put off by the long day. The walking was not strenuous, and Simon stops frequently to point out birds, plants and animals. Really, don't do the Gorge without Simon!

We had an amazing time on Simon's Night Safari at Carnarvon Gorge. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area and could easily spotlight a number of "beasties" in the trees and surrounds - we saw gliders, owls, platypus and even an echidna in just an hour! At $25 we thought this was excellent value for money... it's actually very difficult to find this elusive wildlife on your own with a torch (we tried on a number of nights as did a lot of people at our campsite). A week later Simon has emailed us the "Gorge Gazette" - a personalized magazine spread with photos and details of the specific animals our group spotted & heard. This was just the icing on the cake for what was already an excellent tour. Such attention to detail and personalized service is rare in organized tours these days!If we could give it six stars, we would. Do this if you are in the Carnarvon Gorge area - you won't regret it.

Recently my husband and I did Simon Ling's tour of Carnarvon Gorge. We. Met Simon at 7.30 am at the Visitors Centre at the beginning of the main walking tracks. His knowledge of the fauna and fauna and the history and culture of the area is amazing. He has an in depth knowledge of the significance of the area to Aboriginal culture. We stopped often to discuss something of interest, that Simon had spotted. He gave Us time to soak up the atmosphere at the focal points at The Art Gallery, Ward's Canyon, The Amphitheatre and The Moss Garden. Simon provided morning and afternoon tea and a hot drink for lunch. We finished the tour at 4.15. We came away with a much greater appreciation of Carnarvon, rather than going it alone, so at $55 it was great value for money and we certainly recommend it to others
