Not much to do but lovely views from the back if you have a coffee. Shop sells alpaca related things. Too expensive for me but lovely quality. Worth stopping there as a coffee stop on way to/from O'Reillys.
As many do we stopped into the Alpaca farm on the way back from O'Reilly's. There is a limited cafe and you can feed the Alpacas. Only fairly small.
We have been here a few times. I nice little stop with coffee and cake/scones option. Lovely view from the back and always fun to feed the Alpacas. If you've got kids they'll love it too!
Great moment for a stop mounting up the windy road ! Buy some food to feed the animals! Cude ones! The view is just breathtaking down to the valley, even with fog out there! The alpacas can spit!
Stopped in here on our way to Oriellys. They have a great balcony out back to sit and enjoy a cuppa and a lamington and look out at the beautiful country views. Afterwards go out front and feed the Aplaca's. The kids loved it and the Aplaca's did too.
It was fun to get up and close to the Alpacas ( watch the little brown one ) but the view out the back was incredible
Jenny at Mountview Alpaca Farm has recently added Farmstay accomodation to the Farm. It is perfectly located with spectacular views. Fully self contained, it can comfortably sleep four in two bedrooms.Lots of outside deck space, a bbq and a fully equipped kitchen make this a great place to kick back and chill out. And there is a cosy fireplace to ward off any nighttime chills. Could not recommend this highly enough. Abundant wildlife at your doorstep and of course you get the bonus of having all those cuddly alpacas up close! http://www.mountviewfarm.com.au/stay/index.html
I love it here and I visit every time I go to Australia. It has improved over the years and now has a beautiful decked area where you can have a snack and coffee and look out over the hillside. The alpacas are friendly. It is one of my favourite places. The shop sells interesting alpaca products and they are something a bit different to take as a souvenir. It's a great stopoff on the way to O'Reillys.
"Open for lunch daily come enjoy beautiful views" reads the website.Great views no cafe open no decent food to buy for lunch either do you want to pay $3.50 for 1 slice of lamington and coffee from a service station vendor machine. We drove nearly two hours to come here to feed alpacas and have a lunch on the deck with 2 boys a toddler and a baby.NIGHTMARE!! OH and there is roadwork on the way up the mountain JOY!!! Insert sarcasm- was supposed to be early mothers day really disspointed probably call before you go or drive straight past!!!!
feeding the alpacas is a great experience, they make a nice cup of coffee too. Beautiful view from their back deck over the property.
Worth the drive just for the view and a great coffee, don't miss out on a lamington they are awesome. Topped off by being able to hand feed the alpacas. Spend a little time there and you can start to see the personalities of each of them show through.
We popped in here for a coffee whilst on our travels. Many Alpaca's are outside ready to greet you on arrival which is cool as we don't have them back home. We wondered through the gift shop, picked up our coffee and wondered out to the seating area. The views are amazing. What was meant to be a quick short stop ended in quite a stay as it was just so peaceful and beautiful.
