As many have noted, the scenic lookout is quite a stunning place to visit, and not too hard a hike from the car park, even for older less agile people. Don't forget to take your camera to capture the views along the coast and across the hinterland.
Well worth the hike up to the look-out post. Very quiet peaceful area, not many people when we were there, I think a lot of people pass the sign on the main road to Cooroy and not bother to stop but it is worth stopping. Two in the party have knee problems but we both made the hike without any difficulties. Most of the hike is paved and when you get to the top the look-out post has a 360deg view of all the places we have visited, Noosa itself, The Mangroves, lakes, Tewantin, in the distance the stretch of Sunshine Coast down to Coolum, Glass Mountains and on and on. You need a good clear day to get the best views.
Wow just wow! I was stunned with this scenic lookout, just a short hike up a little slope to an amazing lookout point overlooking the Sunshine Coast and surrounding hinterland areas!
This place has the best mountain biking tracks. If you're an adrenaline junkie or just an avid bike rider, this is fun! From novice to expert there is something for everyone. I wouldn't take young children though as it is quite challenging and if you make a wrong turn, you will kiss a gum.
great outdoor activity not too far from town to have a few hours away, take along water and just enjoy
I rode my bike through this park... It was great fun.. It's really is a lovely quiet spot.Highly recommend it if you want a piece of nature and peace.
Beautiful oasis!!Peaceful walks to take in our country and remind us about the important things in life!Great spot for meditating
First of all it's not easy to find: Unless you happen to drive past and see the 'scenic lookout' sign. The walk from the car park was great on paved pathways and rocks. The views..... well yeah OK, but not really a must see unless you have extra time
The cycle to Tewantin National Park was very scenic through Noosaville. The Cycle path was well marked and the cars very courteous on the ride to The National Forest. The Cycle into the National Park and up Garmin hill was breathtaking beautiful. The canopy of the trees take away the intense heat , the kookaburras laughing felt so Australian! Also you feel very protected as it is closed to Cars.
Not really wow, but having been travelling in Qld I am a bit spoiled. Good outing with picnic and always a great day when you've experienced something you haven't before. Easy enough to walk.
The National Park has an amazing walk with fantastic views right the way around. Easy to find as you simply follow the Boulevard around and through the park. Fantastic coastal views right the way around, bush land views, amenities available, pleasant days walk that can be enjoyed either on your own, a group of friends, as a couple or as a family. Highly recommend the walk if you have the time to enjoy.
Well worth a look this is a very good place to visit for all members of your family it's a must with plenty to see good bird life and very much worth a look AAAAA+
The blurb says "An easy 30 minute walk to (sic) height of 265m with wonderful views from a lookout perched on a steep cliff. Part of the track is accessible by wheel chair". I have just done this lovely walk. It wasn't an easy stroll and the only part that is wheelchair friendly is the carpark and the ramps up to the toilets near the carpark. The climb is not even suitable for a stroller/pram. There are lots of steps and slippery rock to climb over. However the view from the top was wonderful.
Tewantin Nationa Park has lost to offer to bushwalkers / horse riders / and even has a mountain bike park section. A must is a hike up Mt Tinbeerwah to enjoy the awesome views of the Sunny Coast Noosa / North Shore etc.
fishing around the outskirts is good . i love hiring a boat and fish in the late afternoon the walks are in abundant
