Four friends had a guided tour of the Tjapukai Aboriginal Park. We loved learning about the the differences in the life of men and women, weapon demonstration as well as the didgeridoo demonstration. We enjoyed the stories and dances of the Aboriginal culture. Included in our tour was a buffet of local cuisine which was very good. We especially liked the laser light show with stories told by tribe members. All in all a great day.

From the moment we walked in we were absolutely stunned with the facility. While it is the polar opposite from what we expected, it turned out to be the most moving and memorable experiences. You'll hear Aboriginal Dreamtime stories set to a state of the art graphics display, learn about medicines, throw spears, boomerangs, witness ancient dances and learn how to play a didgeridoo. There is so much more to experience I wished we would have budgeted the whole day. All the representatives from the tribe were very nice, funny and easy to talk to. I feel we really stumbled on a real treat with this park.

Me and my girlfriend went to the Tjapukai Night Show. At the entrance we were welcomed with a drink. A lot of the workers were Aboriginals, which made it authentic. After exploring the history area, the show started. First we went out and the Aboriginals showed us how the make fire. The also did a fire show. Then we went back inside and had a great buffet with everything from entree (soup) to main and desert. I was so full, that i couldnt move anymore. The food was really nice, even i had expected Aboriginal dishes (what it wasn't)... During the dinner the lights were dimmed and a dance show was preformed. All in all, a great night and very recommendable.

This is a wonderful introduction to Australia's indigenous people and culture. The facilities are well-kept and are currently undergoing an update/addition (this does not interfere with daily operations). The Creation production was beautiful, and the demonstrations were quite interesting. The real gold here, though, was the staff. All were welcoming, knowledgable, and willing to share beyond the presentations. It was a great introduction to this ancient culture. Recommended for those whose like to learn something along the way.

We were unsure about this, would it be just a tourist hype. No we had the most amazing day from start to finish. So much knowledge shared willingly. All the people in the culture village have ties to indigenous tribes of Australia. The dance, the work shops, the story telling and the recall of the history of ancient Australia is second to none. This centre is keeping alive the old traditions of their forefathers. Everyone here was so friendly and easy to talk to answering questions about their history. Showcasing indigenous people with respect and humanity. This day put the icing on our trip to Australia, we just wish that there were more centres like this throughout Australia where the ancient history of Australia could be told. Thank you to everyone here this day will stay in our memories for ever. Colin & Glynis

NOTE: I was here as part of a tour group, and we had a private dinner and presentation so my review may not be representative of the standard experience. Our group had a private "dance" presentation in their auditorium before dinner. The auditorium felt very modern which seemed completely in opposition to what we were seeing. It was also freezing cold inside. The acoustics in this room were poor so it was hard to understand what the narrator was saying. The dancers didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Maybe this is part of the dance or culture, but I felt like I was just watching a show and not seeing parts of an ancient culture. We had a buffet dinner which was good (aside from still being in the freezing room) and then we were taken outside. I enjoyed the outside property much more. It felt more traditional. We had a presentation in the Womens Hut about foods & medicines that could be found in the rainforest then we had a Weapons & Music presentation in the Mens Hut. The music one was enjoyable. Then we were led to the fire area where we were handed sticks and volunteers were asked to participate in a fire ceremony. This felt a little cheesy to me. But other people seemed to enjoy it. I always wonder when going to places like this if the people who are doing the presentations are just dressing in costume and speaking a certain way and acting a certain way b/c its their job (like Disney in a way) or if the traditions are a part of their lifestyle.

The presentation, dance and talks on culture of Aboriginal people dating back thousands of years, is not for younger people, rather suitable for old retired persons or for those who has good taste for these things. Throwing boomerang, spears etc were the only face saving in this excursion. Read before visiting.

We enjoyed this experience. There are talks/demonstrations about women cultures in the Women's Hut and the Men's customs in the Men's Hut. Very interesting and they are so friendly and answer any questions. Also offered are chances to throw boomerangs and spears. There was also a very nice dance and musical performance. And, of course a gift shop.An enjoyable experience.

Ok so i was taken here for Valentines. The staff firstly, the lead narrator couldn't look ppl in the eye he was quiet shy and unfriendly. The others looked like they had just been asked to do a show half way through their evening nap none of them looked like they wanted to be there and i couldn't understand a single word they said. The show was short and left me asking myself... What did i even just hear? The food was bland cold and just disgusting i wouldn't feed that to my dog. I can't believe they have the audacity to charge anything above 20 bucks for this rubbish! Themenu is all for Asians so if u don't like sea food or Oriental food your gonna b famished! Don't waste your money ppl id have learnt more looking up Google whilecoiling one out on the pan!
